One cold, misty morning, Y/N L/N was taking her normal morning stroll through the dark, dense and supposedly haunted forest outside her house. She never actually believed all that crap about it being haunted or cursed as she had lived alone in a house right next to it since she moved out at 18. Instead, she saw it as her place of inspiration for a best seller fantasy book series she was anonymously famous for. Before she could start planning her next book, a small, sharp pain ran through her leg. Looking down at her now bloodied leg, saw a strange person about the size of a barbie doll with a blood-stained white hoodie and soot-black hair.

Y/N's POV

I stared down at the strange figure for a while before asking: "Hello?"

"....." no response. I cautiously bent down to his level. "I'm Y/N, what's your name?" as I said that he looked up from a pebble his eyes were fixated on with. His eyes that sent a chill down my spine, there were no eyelids and a permanent smile seemed to have been slashed onto his face with a knife.

"I'm Jeff." he said in a low, menacing voice.

"Well, hello Jeff," I stated, comprehension and uncertainty clear in my voice. There was an awkward silence until Jeff just ran off into the undergrowth.

'Well, that was... different.' I thought deciding to head home. When I arrived back at my house, I felt a presence watching me but decided to brush it off as an animal in the woods.

I made myself some pancakes with F/T ( favourite topping) for breakfast and turned on the news.

"There has been a significant decrease in disappearances and murders over the last 3 days. The reports of seeing strange people and creatures in the woods have decreased to nearly nothing." the news reporter informed. 'That's Reassuring' as my family and friends have been bugging me to move for the past few years for those exact reasons.

While eating my pancakes my mind wandered back to meeting 'Jeff' in the woods. I was snapped out of my thoughts as my phone buzzed, it was my illustrator asking me about how the new book was coming. I texted back telling them it was going ok, but progress was slow as I had no inspiration. She responded by saying I could take a break as my book series has over 100,000 copies sold worldwide Thanking her, I closed my phone and began to clean the plate and glass I had been using.

The rest of the I day I decided to just relax, sit down, watch F/S (favourite show) and get a snack.

As the minutes turned in hours, I checked the time to see that it was already 1 am. I didn't realise I wasted all that time re-watching F/S. Going into my room to get changed, I noticed my bedroom window was left ajar, although I specifically remember closing it. 'That's odd' I thought climbing into bed.

Just as unconscious consumed me, I saw a small figure about the size of a barbie doll on my bedside table.

It was Jeff.
