"You sound like you like him" Arthur's teasing voice spills out from Kemala's phone. Kemala who had been tying her shoelaces freezes momentarily with her cheeks stinging in heat

"Shut the fuck up," she laughs, trying to hide her nervousness. She couldn't deny that she felt nervous in front of him - was it her being starstruck? Was it the way their words bounced off each other seamlessly? Or was it the way his dark brown hair curled against his forehead and the way his dark blue eyes looked at her through his thick eyelashes? Her fingers tremble slightly at the thought of him, securing her shoelaces as Arthur laughed with pure amusement

"I still don't believe you get to watch the races! You have to send me pictures later" Arthur chuckles, shaking the previous comment from the conversation

"I know, I know!" Kemala wanted to roll her eyes at her pestering friend, standing up to her full height and grabbing her phone off the bed and walking over to the mirror to pat herself down. She stands happy at her appearance, but worrying that the long sleeve sweater would make her sweat during the day, lucky a light cotton shirt sits right under it for a quick change if needed "What do you really wanna see?" she asks, planning to make a mental note of it

"Oh my God! Like everything!" He excitedly chimes, Kemala could imagine his eyes lighting up with possibilities "I don't care if it's their toilet paper"

"Okay but narrow it down," Kemala giggles at her friend "just in case I can't get everything" she teases at the last word, hoping Arthur would give her a proper answer

"Ugh," he groans, really thinking this time "just you in the headphones I think..." he mumbles still audibly in deep thought "that would really prove the fact that this is really happening"

"Really?" Kemala raises an eyebrow that he can't see "That it?"

"I mean, you can just get a picture of the headset anywhere! But you wearing it? Thats gonna really gonna be good"

"Alright, alright" Kemala nods understandingly, walking over to the single wooden desk in her room to shove her essentials in her bag. Once she had detangled her earphones from her lip balm and room key, she swiftly plugs them in and walks out her room with Arthur now speaking directly through to her ears

"Aren't you running a little late?"

"I am... " She huffs, walking in a fast pace towards the elevator "right on time"

"Sure" he says skeptically

"I'll talk to you later" She says with a laugh, signalling the elevator to pick her up

"Bye, then"

"See ya" She steps past the metal doors, and into the elevator where she remains alone, descending to the first floor. Arthur's right, she is late but not by a lot. However, her father might comment on her punctuality. She mentally rolls her eyes as the elevator dings at a halt with the doors opening to reveal the lavish and bustling hotel lobby. Her boots click upon the spotless marble floor, her eyes searching for her father.
