Imagine you working your ass off your entire life to become a sliver of what your dad was, just for his whole legacy to be taken away by some guy who can't keep his shit together. That's how I felt anyways; hopeless, wasted away...
...and tired.
I saw it coming. I knew that he had something wrong with him, but I didn't do a damn thing about it. Thought I'd give him a second chance to figure himself out.
That never happened.
Actually, the complete opposite happened. He proved himself, as Thor would say, unworthy.
I now have a renewed hope for the time to come. And though many did help with that, it was one person who made it stick with me:
