Alexander typed furiously on the computer he was currently working on a debate against Jefferson and Madison and he was aiming to get a head start.
As John came into the room he set his book bag down as he looked over at Alex. "No surprise there." He thought, Alex was always busy even in his sleep, he once caught him mumbling in his sleep, and when he woke up and began writing something.
John loved Alex but hated the fact he was a workaholic.
John flopped onto his bed he looked over at Alexander. But Alex didn't even know he was there, as he continued to type, making John slightly concerned and angered at the same time.
As John casually walked over, closing the computer, Alex stared up towards him.
"Oh, hey John." He said casually as if nothing happened. As John picked up the computer and set it on the shelf.
"What was that for? I just about to reach a crisp burn that would leave Jefferson and Madison in tears!"
"Alex, you didn't even notice I've been here for the past 5 minutes. Don't you think you should maybe take a break?" John asked.
"Why? I've only been doing it for about 2 hours." Alex said, but as soon as he saw John's eyes widen he realized he should have kept his mouth shut.
"Okay, it's official tonight you're taking the day off, no arguments," John stated.
Alex could only comply, he knew better than to challenge the authority of John. Even with his smart mouth and resilience, based on John he wouldn't dare cross the line.
"Fine, but what are we doing?" Alex asked.
John smiled thinking, "Movie night!" He said as he called choosing the movie.
Alex groaned, see Alexander always liked the movies that John chose but sometimes he would fall asleep and miss out on the best parts of the movie.
As John got everything ready, Alex turned off the lights as he sat in John's lap.
And midway through the movie, he fell asleep. Though despite it all there was one thing he enjoyed about this.
It was the comfort of John.
