"Shit!" My instructor Alice shouted as Misty took a flyer over the cross pole. Misty was improving in the smallest way possible. She had made little progress in the 6 months I had owned her. I was starting to regret buying her.
"Okay get back in her Savannah and pop her over that again." Alice said as she stumbled off Misty. I got on her and cantered her towards the cross pole, her striding was good and she wasn't hesitating, she felt confident! As we neared the jump she didn't back off or change her srides, she jumped it, normally!
"Oh well done you magnificent beast!" I exclaimed as I hugged her neck and patted her, that was the only time she had ever gone over a jump confidently and properly! Maybe she wasn't so bad after all.
Mistys' POV (7 months later)
Savannah patted my long, elegant neck as I landed, shouting my name and calling me a good girl, I don't know what I did but I got over the jump and I didn't knock it or unseat Savannah so I guess it makes her happy, that's why I do it. I really love jumping and I try my best to please Savannah, I think she likes it when I do.
She took me to a show last week and we came 2nd! I got loads of treats and kisses, we jumped up to 1m20 and I felt like I was flying! I am really happy I am away from Marys house now, I didn't like the way her son rode me, it hurt me, and I had fallen many times and I was hurt a lot, I sometimes get those pains now but I just ignore them.
Savannahs POV
Misty had started limping again and it wasn't a rock in her hoof this time. I had let her old owner ride her again, Mary wanted her son to ride her in a field as he missed her, bit weird if you ask me, but I let them. About a day later Misty came in from the field limping badly. I got the vet and I had the worst news of my life.
IM BACK YALL! Here is the much needed update, hope yall enjoy xoxo
