When I heard my name being called out on the loudspeaker, the butterflies in my stomach increased, 'I can't pass my nerves onto my horse', I told myself.
"You can do this Savannah, ride this course like any other, be brave," my mother told me as I mounted my horse,
"Thanks mum" I mumbled while tightening my girth.'Will Savannah Fall please make their way to the starting point' the loudspeaker blurted. I walked my horse to the starting point, moments later the bell went and we were off.
Wild One cantered towards the Cottesmore Leap, his strides eating up the ground. My Anglo-Arab chestnut stallion, Asfar {meaning red in Arabic} is fighting against the bit, I pushed him on, I need enough speed to get over this monster of a jump and also enough power to go high enough. I gave Asfar a nudge before the jump, I leant forward into two-point, we were in the middle of the jump, I was feeling like I was on top of the world, but then, it all changed.
