prologue 🧸

"Jisungie?"

13 year old Jisung turned towards the small voice that called his name. He laid eyes upon an older boy, a year above him, with black hair laying over his eyes. Jisung smiled at the older as he pat the seat next to him, gesturing the older to sit down.

The older boy shook his head and gulped at the anxiety bubbling in his stomach. "What's your name hyung? I've seen you around before."

"M-Minho."

"Hi Minho hyung! What brings you here?"

Minho scratched his head but his left hand was practically tied behind his back. His eyes avoided Jisung's at all costs. "As you know, it's, um, Valentine's Day, so I-I brought you this."

Minho removed his left hand from its position behind its back and a small brown teddy bear sat in it. Jisung could feel heart beating out of his chest at the small animal in front of him.

Jisung reached out for the bear, and took it into his hands, studying every little feature out had. He ran his hands along the light brown fur of the bear's head. "Minho..." Jisung felt speechless. He looked up at the older and could feel his heart eyes growing. "Thank you so much."

"I hope you like it Jisungie." Minho quickly bowed and ran away towards the bus. As Jisung watched the older speed away, he held the bear to his chest. No one has made his heart flutter like that before. Did he maybe like boys?

He wasn't sure. He had asked himself that question a few times after such a lack of attraction towards girls.

But what he was sure on was that he liked Minho.

As Minho became smaller until he was no longer visible, Jisung set his sights on the small teddy bear in his hands. He held up the animal and smiled to himself.

"I think I'll name you Minnie."
