Nainital , was covered in a blanket of snow as the Christmas eve lightens the city . The churches were buzzing with happiness , the soft melody of carols was in the air making the atmosphere festive and filled with excitement . The city was in a full mood of holidays and celebration and the similar mood was in the Nainital Astronomical Observatory , as today was the last day of the internships and also the six month course of their Astronomical studies have ended .
Nandini was in the Observatory packing her things as they had to clear everything from the desk as they completed the course as well as internship . She was elated as now the internships , course and Rishabh's treatment too got completed two weeks ago , completely healing her brother , they could finally go back to Mumbai . She was happy to go back to the place where she thought had many memories but the best memory is to be with her love of life . The six months long separation didn't break anything between them but it just made them strong to be back together again .
Packing her things , and getting her letters , wishes and adieu , Nandini left the observatory with a happy smile . Her life is going to change after the next step , she knows that her future is now already written in stars . Be it coincidence of just a thought , she remembered how her Amms used to tell her that everyone's future is written in stars , but now her future s literally with stars .The Observatory have submitted her theory's , studies and results to every Astronomical Center hoping that she would be the best pass-out Astrophysicist from their observatory and get the best job in the world .
Draping the large blanket sized coat on her frame which nearly made her look like a koala or a teddy bear she got ready to move out in the chilling weather . It was not that chilly but the protective friends and boyfriend she got , they made sure she is like a kola whenever she leaves home or comes back which made her too much irritated . Bidding bye to her fellows she started walking down the lane . The Observatory and her home was fifteen minutes of walk , which she enjoyed much if not tired as the beautiful lane gives her much soothing effects on her nerves . She and Rishabh would usually have a night strolls in the lane , or play badminton to enjoy the feeling of nature .
As she walked through the streets , she saw a small shop which was full of gifting items . She remembered that they have decided to celebrate Christmas this year and she still hasn't bought any gift for Rishabh which was so bad on her part but now looking at the shop she knew she had to buy him something . Moving inside the shop she tried to find a perfect gift for her brother but it looked like what she wanted was not present their , but as her eyes were going through the shelves they noticed a small silvery rectangle box shaped figure , she asked the shopkeeper to let her see that , which he gladly did and there it goes , she found a perfect silver Harmonica . As she observed it she noticed a small firefly structure at the corner , she smiled and decided it would be the perfect gift for her brother . Asking the uncle if he could gift wrap the Harmonica , Nandini bought it and then with a smile she moved out of the shop continuing her way towards her house .
