--------Jack's P.O.V.----------------------------------------------------
I got Raven from Cherry's 'dad' but I remember killing him. He was dead. He had to have been. I mean I stabbed him so many times, I didn't even put candy in his body knowing that I had killed him. I never.....I never stabbed his heart. He could not have died from all of the wounds because none of them were even fatal. I thought he would bleed out. From his story, however, I was pretty close to finishing him off. His story does match up and I now can see how he could have survived from it.
Even so I know the look that is on Cherry's face and I know what is about to happen. I refuse to let Raven see this. She is already a little scared of Cherry but this will scar her for life and she won't want to live with us anymore meaning that Cherry's heart would break and I could NOT have that. It really pains me to see her cry. I like her so much more than I have ever liked somebody. No. I don't like her. I love her. I knew that I would end up falling in love with her. Now, I have to make her mine. Her father ruined it all, but I can tell that afer tonight he won't be messing up anybody's plans ever again.
After I see Cherry attack her father for the first time I know that it will gwt ugly and it will get ugly soon. So, I decide to take Raven somewhere to get ice cream and then I'll take her to the carnival and let her play some games. I turn around and cover up Raven's eyes so she can't see what could possibly be happening. On our way out of hte alley I notice a truck sitting abadoned across the street and decide to place it in the alley so that nobody will go down that way. Why they would anyway is something I can't understand because there isn't anything down there. However, stupid teenagers might want to get into trouble and they should not see what will happen down there. Cherry might even kill them or end up getting hurt.
After moving the truck I sit Raven down and tell her to wait there. I then walk down a couple of feet and look behind the bushes that I put her stuff behind. I didn't want to take them down the alleyway but I didn't want them to get stolen either so I just put them there. I grab her bags and walk back over to her and notice her head is down and there are tears falling on the ground beneath her.
"Hey, what's wrong Raven?" I ask while bending down next to her.
"Why did mommy look like that? Her face was scary, she looked crazy! She looked like she wanted to hurt me." She said while looking up at me with sad eyes.
"Oh, mommy only looked like that because she wants to protect you. She would never hurt you though. I promise." I said with a sad smile.
"Okay, and you won't hurt me either, right?"
"Daddy would never hurt you."
She smiles a small smile and hugs me. I pick her up and tell her to calm down it'll all be okay. Everything I tell Cherry when she starts to cry.
"Hey, how about me and you go get some ice cream and then we can talk more about mommy's big surprise. How does that sound?"
"Ice cream!!!"
I chuckle and pick up her bags. We start walking towards the nearest ice cream parlor making sure to walk away from the alley.
When wew got to the ice cream shop I ordered me and Raven both a banana split with lots of chocolate. I payed and we found a seat near the indow. It was around seven o'clock and she hadn't eaten supper nor have I, but who cares? Ice cream will do for now. I laugh as she looks at her banana split and her eyes widen. She then happily grabs her spoon and shoves a mouthful into her mouth. I do the same and we both sigh in bliss. Ice cream has never tasted better. Cherry loves ice cream, her favorite is cookie dough. She would have ordered three scoops in a waffle cone. That girl loves sugar but she is so skinny, I'll never know how she does it. Even I have to work out here and there to keep my figure.
