My eyes flutter open. I felt my mother's hands grip my own. I look at her with difficulty. I hear the heart monitor beeping away. I couldn't really focus on anything from all the pain meds I was on. I could see my mum, and I could hear her I just couldn't comprehend anything she was saying. I wanted to say something but opening my mouth was as difficult as lifting a ton of bricks. Two other people walked in, they spoke to my mother, one of them was wearing a long white coat. I looked at their face, and I recognized them. It was my doctor, the other man was my father.
My eyes slowly close against my will. I heard talking and the beeping monitor still going. I laid there with my eyes closed listening to the sounds around me trying to focus on one thing. It was suddenly as quiet as my brain. The only noise was the last
beep-
beep-
beep-
the monitor flatlined. I heard the doctor instantly call for help. Strong hands pushed on my chest. I could only feel it for a millisecond until I couldn't feel anything. I felt like I was floating, nothing touching me. The only way for me to know that I was there was a brief moment of being able to hear my mum cry along with my dad while my sister screamed from the confusion of it all. Then the noise stopped. I wasn't there anymore.
✨Author's Note:✨
Hey! This is a short beginning, I know, but I didn't really know any details, even though I did some research. I've just never had a family member or someone I know die like this. The rest of the story will have bigger parts, I promise.
