Chapter 26: I can't say

        (Hannah's POV)

The surprise party was great. Everyone had a great time, and Goose passed out halfway through because she kept running around. Grace didn't act right during the party and each time I got near her she'd go off in a different direction. Around the ending of it Tyler suggested that we all play truth or dare. I thought that this should be really funny because all of us were sober. Eventually we ended up in a circle. Well Mamrie didn't play she just wanted to watch. I sat in between Grace and Chester. It seemed like there was some tension between them so I knew who I was going to ask.

        Troye dared Flula to serenade Mamrie. Flula dared Tyler to kiss Troye's butt (which was hilarious). Then I was dared to twerk. I chickened because there was just to many people. Then it was my turn. "Grace truth or dare?"

        "Truth."

        "What's bothering you?"

        "Hannah I don't want to get into this right now."

        "Just tell me Grace."

        "Hannah not now!"

        "I don't care what it is just tell me." We're both yelling at each other and the whole place has gotten quiet. Tyler starts ushering people to the door. Mamrie, Chester and Flula stayed behind. "I want to tell you Hannah but I can't."

        "Why can't you. You're my girlfriend. You're supposed to be able to tell me what's bothering you."

        "Because I promise someone I wouldn't."

        "Who's the someone." Grace doesn't say anything. Instead she looks at Chester. I look over at him to and walk towards him. "What did you say to her?"

        "None of you're business Hart."

        "None of my business. Boy it is my business she's my girlfriend. I want to know what is bugging her."

        "Well you'll never know." He walks out just when I wanted to punch him. Mamrie holds me back from going after him and Grace runs to the bathroom and locks it. Mamrie and Flula nod at me and walk out the door. I stand on the outside of the bathroom door trying to think of something to say. I could hear Grace's sobs so I finally said something. "Babe. Come out."

        "No."

        "Come on Gracie."

        "No Han. I can't face you right now."

        "Did Chester say something bad to you because I'll-" I hear the door unlock and it slowly opens.

        "No Hannah. He said... he said." She stopped. It was as if the words were catching in her throat. I wrap my arms around her. I kiss her and Goose runs over to us. Grace starts to laugh and she kisses the top of my head. "Are you willing to tell me now?" Grace pulls away from me and looks me square in the eye. "Hannah he said that he's in love with me." The next thing I remember is storming down the hallway.
