Throwback

Harry had been sitting on the porch swing, dressed in a 3 piece suit and the shiny black shoes that his dad always made him wear to these parties.

His dad called the business dinners but Harry didn't understand. Why can't they just simply be parties? He didn't get why grown-ups want to complicate everything.

He was bored but his dad had warned him to be on his best behavior so he just sat looking at the grown-ups talk when a tall man walked in holding a kids hand.

Harry unconsciously leaned in to see the boy clearly.

The kid had golden brown eyes that Harry wanted to take a closer look at because he had never seen eyes that beautiful.

The boy was smaller than Harry but he looked so serious, carrying a sense of maturity that made him look older.

The man went to Harry's dad and shook his hand and Harry's dad lifted the boy, giving him a kiss on his cheek.

Harry was confused but his dad put the boy down and said something to him, making him giggle then pointed to Harry.

Harry got excited when he saw the boy coming to sit next to him. He moved over on the swing and patted the space next to him.

He couldn't drop the smile on his face as the boy approached him.

The boy was dressed in some black pants,a plain white shirt and shiny shoes too. He moved walked with so much confidence and Harry admired that.

He stood in front of Harry with his hands in his pockets and gave him a once over.

Harry started getting nervous because of the way the boy stared at him as if looking through him and seeing all his secrets, including the one that he had once drunk his father's alcohol.

He looked down and bit his lip.

"Hi Harry, I'm Zayn Malik," the boy said.

His voice was beautiful, Harry could listen to him talk the whole day. It was silky smooth. Listening to it felt like watching a raindrop slowly trickle it's way down a window. It was soothing

Now that he was closer, Harry could see his eyes. They were looked golden under the moonlight and twinkling lights on the porch. He also had a brown little dot in his eye that Harry found adorable.

His lashes were impossibly long and dark. Too long for a boy.

His black hair was styled over his forehead. It looked so soft and shiny Harry just wanted to run his fingers through it.

He had rosy pink and pouty lips that looked so beautiful as he spoke. They were a nice contrast against his beautiful brown skin.

He was the prettiest person Harry had ever seen, even more beautiful than all the girls in his class combined.

Harry was mesmerized as he watched the boy's lips move.

He saw fingers snapping in front of his face and looked up into the boy's eyes, looking lost and confused.

"I said your dad told me to come sit with you but it's boring here do you want to do something fun or continue staring at me like that?" The boy asked, repeating himself.

Harry blushed and looked back at his shoes which suddenly seemed interesting.

He was so embarrassed for zoning out.

Now the boy would think he's weird. This is why no one wanted to be his friend. He frowned at the thought, feeling sorry for himself.

"Hey are you okay, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to sound rude, you can stare at me all you want, if that's what you want. I promise I won't be mad," the boy, Zayn, said crouching down and rubbing Harry's cheek.
