Emmet was going through some terribles things. Carlisle and him, they didn't have such a strong bond as Edward and Esme, but that didn't matter. His 'father' was gone. He missed Carlisle teaching him 'adult' things. He misses screaming at Jasper while playing Mario Kart because Jasper always won. They were always arguing about how Jasper probably in some way had cheated. When Emmet won, he would scream and say things like 'GOTCHA JAZZ,' and more silly things like that. They would always burst into laughter. And then Carlisle would say: 'alright guys, let's take it down a notch'. But now, he can't even look at the tv anymore. Jasper isn't there anymore, so isn't Carlisle. He cared so much about them. And then Rosalie, he couldn't stand it when she was sad, he would try cheering her up, it mostly worked. But not for long. Emmett tried making the Cullens a little happier with dumb jokes, but almost no one laughed. Emmet got sadder with the day, but stayed strong for Rosalie and the rest off the Cullens.
