I sat in my car sighing with my hands on the wheel while resting my forehead in between them. "This is the third time this month that you forgot you needed a ride! I need an advance. You know I get coffee every morning." I said with exasperation.

"I know you do, that's why I like going to school with you!" She said in an attempt to brighten my mood. I lift my head up and glare at her. "I'm sorry! I'll make it up to you, I promise!"

She clasped her hands together and leaned forward over the coffee that was in my cars cup holders, completely forgetting they were there I assume.

I put my hands on her shoulders in a rush, trying to preserve our drinks before she could tip them over. "Alright, alright! You're forgiven! Just be careful!" I rushed the words out as I shook her a bit.

Her eyes widened. "Thank you, Roxy! You're the best! I love you!"

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Yeah yeah ya lunatic, lets just go." I replied, unbuckling my seat belt and grabbing my drink. "I cannot miss first period again. I'll get detention. Again." I continued as I got out and slammed my car door. She did the same.

"Right." She replied dragging out the end. "Thanks for not throwing me under the bus those last couple times, by the way!" She started to skip as I nodded.

"You really gotta set more reminders, Sil." I suggested as I adjusted the strap on my shoulder. My friend was forgetful, to put lightly, but she did care without a doubt.

Her white hair was in a half-up half-down look, the half-up part being two space buns with some low pony tails infront of her chest as well. I always wanted to try out that hair style for myself, but at the moment it was just in a high pony tail with strands framing my face.

We continued to walk together through the area full of greenery and benches between the buildings when we saw a girl I didn't recognize. She had brunette hair and wore dark clothes that weren't really her color. She seemed confused.

My friend ran up to her, almost spilling her drink in the process while I rolled my eyes and followed her. When I arrived she had already started a conversation.

"You look confused." She said with a giggle at the end as I adjusted my sunglasses. It was hard for me to see when it was bright as I spent most of my time in my dark room, the only light being the occasional dark red on my LEDs. They aren't that popular yet, but I'm sure they'll catch on.

"Was it that obvious?" She said in a small voice. I raised my sunglass and squinted a bit at the new brightness. As I got a better look at her I noticed she had amber eyes. I lowered them again.

I decided to speak up. "Well, considering you're standing in the middle of the pathway talking to yourself with a map in your hands, I'd say so." I stated, in a warm tone. I had a resting bitch face so I added a bit of a smirk. I took a sip of my drink at the end of my sentence.

"Got to start the day off right if you know what I'm saying?" The girl said softly. I chuckled a bit as I put my arm around my friend's shoulders and leaned on her, her doing the same back and giggling at the stranger's remark.

"Of course! Don't worry about it, I was the same when I came here as a freshmen. I'm Silvia, this is Roxanne." She replied and explained, bumping her head onto mine in the process.

"Heh, hey, I'm Ysabelle. I actually just switched over here! Since today is the start of the new semester, today's my first day." She gave us a brief explanation, still using her small voice. I found it odd someone would transfer in the middle of senior year, but everyone has their reasons and secrets so I let it go.

"I had a feeling I didn't recognize you. What brings you here?" I asked. I can match almost any face with a name here, so I knew she must have been new or something.

"It's actually a complicated story to be quite honest." She replied softly. I nodded. She continued, "My schedule says the bell is about to ring at any moment," My eyes widened as I felt a rush of panic. "so I'm not quite sure I'd have enough time to tell you the whole thing..." She trailed off.

"Then why don't you come join us at lunch and tell us?" I practically choked on air at that comment.

"Just you two?" Ysabelle asked, raising an eyebrow.

Silvia ignored the question as she started to ramble, " Oh and you can meet the girls too! Ah, this is perfect! What teacher do you have second period!?" Her bubbly personality shone through. I took my arm off her shoulder incase she started bouncing so I wouldn't spill my drink.

She handed Silvia her schedule. "Chemistry with Mrs.Oakley, perfect! Ooh, and you have first period with Roxy!" I leaned my head over Silvia's shoulder and nodded. She did infact have class with me.

"Okay, right when the bell rings after class, I'll be waiting right outside the door for you!" Silvia explains, a bit rushed, "But, make sure you're quick because Tiffany told me to get to the table today and she'll be really mad if I mess this up again-" Just then the bell rang.

"Shit!" I cried and threw my head back.

"Oh, well see you soon!" Silvia turned around when she finished her sentence, so did I. We both started leaving.

"Wait!" Ysabelle yelled after us. "Can you take me to class with you at least?"

I spun around on my heel and snatched her schedule from Silvia as she started walking again. "Why didn't you say so silly? Let's go, I cannot be late again." I exclaimed as I started walking again.

"Wait, hey!" Ysabelle cried as she rushed to catch up with me.  I walked with her to our class, which was math.

I handed her the schedule again as I took my sunglasses off, setting them on top of my head. We got up to the door. "Thanks, Roxanne."

I nodded as I let myself in. Heads turned and stared at Ysabelle. It wasn't weird for me to be late so the students didn't question that.

I heard a few voices say; "Wait, is she new?" "I've never seen her before." "Why does she dress like that." (To that comment I rolled my eyes because he's been wearing that same hoodie for two weeks.)

Mr. Roberts spoke up. He had a bit of a cheerful voice. "I know it's the first day of a new semester so today I won't be too harsh about getting to class on time," I sighed in relief. "however tomorrow is no exception." He looked at me sternly, but only a bit. He knows I try my hardest to get to class on time, I just have a bit of a hard time saying no.

"Sorry, it won't happen again!" Ysabelle promised as I sat down in my seat.

"You look new." He said, it sounded a bit condescending but I over think a lot so I'm sure it was nothing. I adjusted my top, which was a black crop top. The dress code wasn't too strict here. It was like that because I explained to the principal about how it was misogynistic and was doing the opposite of what it was made for. My principal luckily understood, many other's wouldn't.

  "Heh, yeah..." Ysabelle replied breathily.

"Why don't you sit between Taige and Roxanne? I'm sure they won't mind." I shook my head to agree. I really don't mind. I stood up and stood to the side as she squeezed between the desks and sat down, me following after her.

"Alright, lets get started. Welcome to my math 30 class everyone." He greeted. "The expectations for this course is for you to finish all eight modules with an average of over 75% module by the end of this semester." I tuned him out. I'm great at math so I didn't really care about this 'explaining the semester' shit.

Ysabelle suddenly spoke quietly to Taige, and it made me jump a bit. "Hi, I'm Ysabelle."

"And I'm actually trying to listen." Taige snapped back. Taige's eyes were so dull and boring.

"O-oh, sorry." Ysabelle replied and looked forward. I rolled my eyes and leaned to my left a bit.

"Don't worry about her, she's a bitch." I whispered smugly. Taige must have heard me because she sent a glare my way. I just smirked and blew her a kiss. After that I paid attention.
