I sat down with my lunch, which consisted of pasta, an apple, chips, a water, and some pudding. All around costing me twelve dollars.

My best friend was next to me. She opened my bag of chips and took one from the bag and set it back on my tray. "They really need to stop filling the half of these bags up with air. They cost four dollars. One dollar away from your pasta. Like, what the hell?"

"Maybe you could help it be worth my money if you didn't eat my chips and got your own." I replied sarcastically before I shoveled more food into my mouth. "And the pasta is pretty good for being so cheap." I continued after I swallowed.

"You're probably right. Anyways, wanna watch a movie after school?" She asked as she was typing something on her phone.

"Sure. What movie?" I asked, taking a bite of my apple. We always got together at least once a week (if we were busy) and sometimes her sister would join us. She used to join us a lot more when we were younger but there has definitely been some tension between them. I try to be the middle man, knowing my best friend isn't always the nicest or healthiest to be around. She can be a little toxic to her sister so I always try to help the other party while maintaining my friendship.

It was the winter of 2004, I was new to town and had to go to a pre school because of how much my dad worked and how much my mom wanted me to have a head start on basic skills. I was so nervous and timid when I was younger, so when I arrived there you'd have thought I was mute. That was until she started to drag me around during play time. That's how it started. She was my first ever friend. I love her more than anything, platonically that is.

"There's this new movie called 'Insidious: The Last Key' that totally fits your vibe. I think it's a prequel to the other movies? You know, the ones we watched when we weren't supposed to? Anyways, it came out a few months ago I think." She explained, pulling up the movie information on her phone and showing it to me.

I nodded before eating more of my pasta. I swallowed again. "Sounds good," I turned to her sister who sat across from her. "You gonna join?" I asked my other friend.

She just nodded after looking for approval from my best friend. I smiled softly before turning my attention back to my pasta, finishing it.

"Where's Silvia?" My green haired friend asked.

"That's a good question." The girl next to me huffed, going back to her phone before I heard footsteps approach us.

"Hey girls! Guess who Roxy and I found lost in the hallway this morning." Silvia exclaimed as I waved to Ysabelle who had to run after her.

My friend finished typing and sending her text before looking up. I started focusing on my apple more. "Newbie?" She asked bluntly, I almost choked on my apple.

"Tiffany, that's not very-" Her sister objected in her soft voice before Tiff cut her off.

"I mean, it isn't that hard to tell." She retorted and I only cocked my head slightly in agreement.

"This is Ysabelle girls; she just transferred schools. That's Tiffany and that's Veronica." Silvia explained, bubbly as ever. I took another bite out of my green apple. "You already know Roxy."

"It's nice to meet you all." Ysabelle greeted softly. I finished my apple and placed it in my bowl that sat on my tray.

"I thought it would be nice to let her sit with us at lunch since she's new and all." Silvia smiled brightly. She always was thoughtful. It twinkled in her eyes, which, fun fact, were a fuchsia color.

"Yeah, sure, I don't mind." Huh, that went a bit easier than I thought it would considering it's Tiffany, but then again she never fails to surprise me.
