(Hannah pov)
Today's the first day of high school and honestly, I'm kinda looking forward to it.

"Hannah, Get down or your food is going to be cold!"

"Okay, I'm coming." I shouted, running down the stairs, and greeted Mom and dad as I joined them for breakfast.

"So the first day, excited?"

"Well, I wouldn't say that Dad, but I think it might be pretty cool. Since, the amounts of time we would travel at different places and cities due to mom's side job as a tourist."

"And I couldn't be any more prouder of anyone else than your mother." Dad comments, kissing mom.

"Yuck! Sweet but gross you guys!" I faked whined.

"Oh, Sorry if we love to show we love each other. Who knows maybe one day you'll get how it feels." Dad said as if he needed to explain himself.

"Yeah, no..I'm fine with not having whatever you two did. Anyway, I have to go, the bus's here, see ya guys later. love you!" I said, getting on the bus to school.

-high school-

"Wow!"

"Hello, You must be lost, Are you looking for something or someone?"

"Uh, actually I am." I answered as the person I bumped into gave me directions to find my first class.

For the first and second day of school in one of the few classes I had, I hadn't made many friends with the students. Except on the second day, I met this one guy named Jeff Atkins, and he's cute and cool. But it's whatever, I'm not focused on having a relationship. I got bumped into a girl who was rushing to get somewhere, which was rude, but I ignored it.

"Yes finally, lunchtime!" I cheered, meeting up with Jeffrey to have lunch.

"Ugh, you like the food here?" Jeff asked, looking disgusted by the food.

"Not really, but I'm sure most of the food is not as bad as people like to exaggerate." I

"I guess. I just really hope they have pizza or something because they're mostly what I eat out of anything else they make."

"Great! I'm a bit hungry, so let's go!"

-cafeteria-
"Mhmm..so what do they have?" I asked.

"They got pizza, chicken, and French fries and other stuff." Jeff explains.

"Mmhmm...I'm going to get this, excuse me can I please get these and that one? thanks!"

"So...do you think you got a good score on that history test?" Jeff asked as we moved to a line to pay for our food.

"Honestly, I'm not so sure. But, I like to remain positive but not too positive." I admit as he nodded, agreeing.

"Yep, so what about you? How did you do?" I asked him.

"Well, I feel like I did..ehh." He says.

"Eh? Wh—hat the—-Ahhh!!! Omg!" I said before I suddenly felt a presence that made me scream.

"What? What happened? Why you screamed?" Jeffrey said, being concerned.

"Ooh, My apologies for that." We turned to see it was Mr Godfrey who then walked away from us.

"Haha, you looked like a scared cat that was almost hit by something thrown at it!" Jeffrey teased as I then threw some food at him

"Haha, you looked like a scared cat that was almost hit by something thrown at it!" Jeffrey teased as I then threw some food at him.

"Hey, watch it!.. Fine, I'll stop, you don't gotta throw your food at me!" Jeffrey joked.

As we were enjoying our lunchtime, I saw someone handing Jeffrey paper.

[What th—, is there something happening today or..?]

"Hey, Mr. Godfrey?" We greeted as Mr Godfrey approached us, sitting at our table.

"Why ya scare the living hell out of us??" Jeffrey joked, before being curious about what Mr Godfrey had to say.

"Again, my bad. I overheard a girl saying something about a school event."

"Hmm, no wonder Jeff was handed a flyer."

"Yeah, my guess is whatever events it is is going to be interesting."

"So, you know what's this event about?" I asked him.

"Beats me. Well, I got to get going, but I'll probably see ya guys." Godfrey said, getting up from our table to leave and go somewhere.

-party-
At the party, it was nice even though it's not exactly my scene. Besides, I was either by myself, hanging out with Jeff, or seeing Jeff do something stupid to impress girls. Just as I was enjoying myself, I met many older girls who were probably juniors.

(3rd person)
Ever since she started hanging out with the popular girls, Hannah who was hesitant at first, began acting like a "mean girl" to people. Especially to that one girl, she sorta befriended during her 2nd or 3rd day of school.

-home-
I don't know what'll temporarily cheer my mood up a bit, so, I turned on the radio that's playing "Brave" by a singer named Sara Bareilles. While listening to the radio, I decided to do something productive.

As I was keeping myself busy, I heard my mom talking so I went to see what happened.

"Hey, mom...what's going on? Who are they?" I asked, seeing her talk to a lady and a girl next to her who looked familiar.

Based on the tension in the kitchen, I excused myself to go to my room. While I was in there doing work, I heard some bickering and hearing whatever they were saying. Looking back, I feel like that lady and the girl could be the same people I saw in Dad's hospital room as a kid.
