Well after last night, I haven't been able to stop thinking about him. What's even worse is that we were invited to a ball tonight... hosted by Klaus, Summer and their siblings. I decide to call up Summer.
"Come on pick up Summer."
The phone stops ringing.
"Hey Summer. I need help with something." I say
"Hello love. What do you need me to help with?"
"The help I need is with Summer. Not you Klaus. Sorry not sorry."
"Will I see you tonight?"
"Who knows, Niklaus."
"Well then I will see you later, Cassandra."
"Give Summer the phone."
I hear crackling and footsteps through the phone.
"Hello? Cassie?"
"Hey Summer. I need help. I haven't picked out a dress."
"That's ok! I haven't either. But I have the perfect one for you."
Summer texts me the dress.
"OMG SUMMER! That's beautiful! I have one for you too!"
"Wow! Thanks Cass! See you soon!"
I end the call and look at the time. It's 12:56. I have plenty of time.
"Damon! Stefan! We're out of here at 4:30! If you're late, I'm not coming back to get you!"
around 4:00 pm
I walk into Damon's room.
"Well aren't you looking dapper. Trying to impress a certain someone. You and Summer have been getting awfully close."
"Jesus Cass. I could've been naked." He replies.
"Don't care. K bye!!!"
I then walk into Stefan's room.
"Hey Stef! Elena coming?"
"Yeah. Bonnie and Caroline are coming too. I'm ready when you are."
"Damon! We're going!"
"LIMO TIME!"
This is my first time in a limo. I wasn't expecting all these sweets.

As I step up to the door, I take a deep breath. I don't know why I'm so nervous.

As I go to grab a drink AKA mission stay away from Klaus, Damon comes up to me from behind.
"You know, I think Klaus has a thing for you. He hasn't stopped staring at you since you've walked in."
"Are you serious? He's probably just plotting my death."
"Are you really that clueless? Don't worry little sis. I got you."
"Damon what are y-"
Just then he pushes me towards Klaus and I fall into his arms.
"Nice catch." I tell him.
"I'll always catch you love."
We just stay there for a very awkward 10 seconds and then I just pop myself back up.
"I thought you said you were going to grab a drink, yet you've come back empty handed." Klaus said.
"I was uh distracted."
"By me?"
"What? No. Never."
"You hesitated."
"No I didn't."
"Yes love. You did."
"Ugh I'm so done with you!"
As I go to walk away, he grabs my wrist.
"Don't walk away from me."
"Why not Klaus? Give me one good reason why I shouldn't walk away from you!"
"Because I need you!"
"You need me? For what? Helping your sister? Or what about Hope?"
"How do you know about her?"
I point to my head with sass.
"Right." He says.
I've been so caught up in this conversation that I didn't even notice the amount of people staring at us now.
"How can you act this way when you're with Cami?"
"Cami? She has nothing to do with this."
"She absolutely does. Are you all flirty and arrogant like this with every other girl?"
