His head whipped up at the sound of two feminine voices just outside the bathroom door.
"Heard what?"
"Really? You haven't heard the latest rumor? They say that a student that went here fell in love with a ghost"
"Then?"
"She wanted to be with him forever, so she decided to become a supernatural. And there she became school mystery no.8. They say that the reason the old bathroom in the 3rd floor is clean, is because of her, where she's always with school mystery no.7" His eyes widened.
But there isn't a no.8, is this rumour even real?
"Hanako-kun, Hanako-kun are you there?" Knocking came from the second bathroom stall, followed by a feminine voice that he felt such familiarity with. Tears gushed out even more as the stall slowly opened, the afternoon's sunset bathing the spirit in it's welcoming light.
"Y-Yashiro?"
"Ohayo, Hanako-kun"
"They say that upon meeting, the two rejoiced in each other's arms, happy to be with each other again for an eternity" The girl finished for her friend.
"Wow, that was actually pretty heartwarming, I was expecting something horrifying and bad" she laughed it off and walked away.
While her friend who spread the rumour
Watched with a soft smile as she watched the two mirthful and joyous spirits inside the bathroom, embrace and cried in each other's arms, just like her had rumour said.
"Be happy, Nene chan"
Aoi walked away, leaving the two all alone as they watched the afternoon sunset together, holding hands as they were finally linked together.
