Skyler sighs softly as she looks out at the plain fields passing by. She's been in the car for hours and was getting bored of seeing nothing but abandoned building and fields. She slowly closes her eyes and rests back against her seat. "How much longer do we have?" She groans softly and opens up her cold, deep blue eyes.

Her mom looked through the mirror at her and smiled. "Just a few more miles, dear." Skyler looks at her blank screen on her phone then throws it on the seat beside her.

It's been 2 days since her grandmother called asking specifically for Skyler to come. Not her brother, but her. It's been years and years, to many to count, since Skyler has seen the old lady. She could hardly remember her face, only from a few pictures around the house. Her grandma wasn't the prettiest, but she didn't look as old as she was.

Skyler let out a sigh of relief as she saw the sign welcoming them to the small town. She watched through the window as small stores passed by. Finally. They were here. She smiled slightly as she saw a few friends of her grandma, and gave them a small wave. The town was pretty friendly, even the younger waved as they saw the car pass by.
