in which one of the two teenager is bored and impatient.Rosalie woke up to the sound of her grandmother calling her from downstairs. The girl sighed as she saw the time on her clock: 9am.
The blonde stirred in her bed and put her blanket away, appreciating the cool breeze of the new summer sun. The window that gave on the balcony hadn't been closed which let the wind make his way around the room. A smile spread on her face as she recalled the previous night. Rosalie finally got out of bed and made her way toward the kitchen where her grandmother waited for her."Good morning Rose, did you sleep well ?"
"Hello grandma. Yep, I did. You ?"
"So did I. I was thinking that, seeing as you're older now, you might want to go and visit London. So I got you a map, food if you're hungry during the day and some British money because you must only have euros with you."Rosalie looked at her grandmother with shock all over her face. It was a long time since her grandmother hadn't been so kind to her and Rosalie didn't know if she was supposed to be suspicious or accept what the old lady offered her. But Rosalie being Rosalie, she simply smiled at her grandmother and thanked her, a smile that the white haired lady returned.
"However grandma, if it is okay with you, I'd prefer to go tomorrow. "
"It's okay. I'll have guests over tomorrow anyways."
"Cool ! Can I take my breakfast on my balcony? I always take it outside during the summer."
"Take it wherever you want, I'm fine with it as long as you take the plate downstairs once you're done."
"Thanks gran and last thing before I go, do you know what is a muggle ?"Her grandmother's eyes widened for a few seconds but before Rosalie could say something else her grandma snapped at her:
"Where did you heard that ?"
"Oh er-, I opened my windows yesterday and I heard a group of boys say that."By the look she gave to Rosalie, it was obvious that the old lady didn't believe a word of her lie. However, she didn't say anything else about it and just shrugged it off, saying it was British slang. Rosalie didn't wait for anything else and sprinted back to her room, breakfast in her hands. The girl sat to her usual spot and turned the record player on, the beautiful song that is Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen playing to Rosalie's delight. It was one of her favorite song at the moment.
Rosalie lighted a cigarette and started eating her breakfast slowly, singing along Freddie Mercury at some point.
"Goodbyyyye everybody, I've got to gooo. Gotta leaave you all behiiind and faaaaace the truuuth. Mamaaaaaa, ooooooh, IIII don't wanna diiie. I sometimes wish I'd never been born at aaaaaall..."
Rosalie loved everything in the song, from the lyrics to the operatic section, the guitar solo, everything. Queen was most definitely one of her favourite bands and she couldn't wait for the day where she'll have the chance to see them in a concert. ABBA was another of her favourite, she loved the way the songs were perfect to dance and to scream the lyrics until she didn't have voice left. She also loved David Bowie, Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, The Bee Gees, Elvis Presley, The Beach Boys and KISS but nothing could be better than Queen and ABBA in her opinion.
Once her breakfast was over, the blonde stood up and started unpacking her suitcases, searching something to wear at the same time. After ten good minutes hesitating between a few outfits, Rosalie opted for a white Queen t-shirt, with black leather trousers and a pair of white Converses she had thrifted in Paris before leaving. Rosalie went to the bathroom with everything she needed and thirty minutes later, she was clean and dressed. The teenager went back to her room, gathered the rest of her breakfast and took it back to the kitchen.
Fifteen minutes later, Rosalie was bored to death on her bed. Her summer homework was done, she had already read the book she had brought with her during the train ride and now didn't have anything else to do. Music still playing in the background, her thoughts wandered to the boy of last night. Was he really going to come back at 4pm ? Only time will tell I guess, she whispered.
Rosalie thought about him for a few minutes but soon grew bored of thinking about the bench-stealer and took the decision of wandering into the house seeing as it has been a year since she came and maybe things had changed. Getting up again, she started with the second floor (where was her bedroom, bathroom and the room where her parents slept when they came with her) but went somewhere else quickly, she knew this floor by heart. The first floor was where her grandmother slept and it also had a study, a small library with couches and a bathroom.
The ground floor counted the kitchen, dining room, living room, another bathroom and something that looked like an old ball room. The only floors left where the basement and the attic but Rosalie was way too scared of spiders to go to the basement and the attic was closed and forbidden. The walls of the house were a light color which gave the house a warm and safe feeling.
Rosalie checked the time for the thousandth time today, only 1pm so three hours to go before her meeting with Sirius. However, Rosalie, having impatient as her second name, called her grandmother to tell her that she was going to the park and without forgetting her cigarettes, a lighter and a random book that was in her room, run to the white bench she loved. Without surprise, the boy wasn't here yet but it didn't matter, at least she had a feeling of control over the situation by being here before him.
Rosalie took out a cigarette and started smoking while opening the book. L'Étranger by Albert Camus, one of her favourite book ever. The book was about a man named Meursault who lived in French Algiers in the 40s whose mother just died and we followed his life after this event. She discovered it at school when her French teacher assigned it as a reading homework and while everyone in her class seemed to find it boring and hard to read, Rosalie was probably the only one who really loved it and didn't hesitate to read it for the hundredth time.
By the time Sirius arrived, four cigarettes had been smoked and the book was read to the half. Rosalie, being way too focused on it didn't notice the tall teenager approaching her.
"If I knew I was to meet my friend Remus I wouldn't have dress so nicely Rosie.", he said with a cheeky grin.
