Chapter Four: The Prophecy
We reached the transportation station with our luggage. We were instructed to pack lots since we will be staying more than a month.
“Hurry. We have to get you there quickly so you will be able to get a good night’s rest before school. Remember, you have to try and act like high school students and blend in. Don’t call attention to yourself.”
“Yes Father.” I said politely.
“See Ash. Why weren’t you ever like Faith when you were younger? Even now you’re not as polite as her.” He groaned and rolled his eyes.
“Let’s just get going so we can get the ‘good night’s’ rest you’re talking about.” I laughed.
“You guys seem more like siblings than father and son.”
“I don’t like treating Ash like a little kid because I know he wouldn’t like it.”
“Because I’m not a little kid.”
“Sometimes you can act childish.” I said. “Like what happened today.” I snickered.
“What happened?” Father asked.
“Nothing!” Ash nearly screamed.
“Come on. Let’s get going or we’ll be late.” I said, deciding to save him.
“Oh, right. Let’s go, get in the car and buckle up.”
After a two hour drive, we arrived at a small house. It was a regular white house next to other colorful houses. I sensed some werewolves nearby.
“Father, just drop us off. We don’t need help with anything.” I told him, knowing he sensed the mutts too.
“Fine, but be careful.” He said, watching the woods carefully.
“Sure think Pop.” Ash opened the door and hopped out. I followed after him. He grabbed our bags and walked in as I trailed after him.
“Bye! See you soon!” I waved at father. I pretended not to look at the stairs and almost trip on the way to the door. I catch myself before I fell.
“Clumsy much?” I glared at him and pushed him in the house. As we got it the house I shut the door and punched his arm.
“I don’t want to seem so graceful and skilled. You shouldn’t either. They would notice.”
“Oh right. How stupid am I? It seems like you know what you’re doing. You could be the best hunter in the world if you get the right training. You weren’t even born a hunter.”
“I was born a monster.” I looked away from him. “One day I will go out of control and kill all my loved ones.”
“What are you talking about? You would never.”
“I know I wouldn’t but,” my eyes turned a ghost grey.
“The day she has fully master and have found her true lover,
she shall killed all that is worth to her.
Red will splatter through her soul and she will grow and kill everything,
taking over the world.”
I fell to the ground. My head hit the ground with a loud crack.
“Faith?!”
A/N: Sorry for the wait and short chapter. I have been busy with school, a dance, cosplay, and had a breakup. Everything has been so crazy this month. I will most likely post monthly or every other month. Unedited.
