Chapter Two: Flashback Part 2

I woke up in a large, soft bed. I sat up and looked around. It was a big room with old furniture. The bed took up most of the room, but the room has a home feeling to it. The wooden door creaked open, as the little boy from before, came in. He held a small tray of food.

“W-who are y-you?” I asked as he walked up to me cautiously.

“Are you cold?” He set the tray down next to me and went into a large closet in the corner. He brought out a fluffy blanket. “Here” He handed me the blanket.

“T-thanks.” I wrapped it around me shoulders. “Who are you?”

“The guy who saved you from the monster.”

“I-I’m the monster. I killed those men and my Master.”

“He forced you to kill those men. How and why?”

“I’ll a-answer your q-question if you answer mine.” I said boldly.

“I’m a Hunter. Well I’m training to be a Hunter.”

“W-what are hunters?”

“We are train to hunt evil supernatural creatures.”

“A-are you going to k-kill me?”

“Are you evil?” he chuckled.

“N-no…” Before he could say anything else, the door opened. It revealed an older man.

“Ash? Are you in here?” The man asked.

“I’m here Father.” The little boy, named Ash I guess, answered back.

“Who is this young lady and why is she in your bed?” I blushed and opened my mouth to speak, but Ash beat me to it.

“I found her. Some man was forcing her to kill people, but I know she’s good on the inside.”

“She killed someone?” He laughed. “She’s only a little kid. Maybe a five year-old.”

“I-I did kill someone.” I spoke up. “I-I killed a g-group of men and m-my master.”

“Dad! She has a power. Her eyes turn red and she can kill anyone.”

“My eyes can change with my mood. I-I have trouble controlling it. All I know is that I can change my eyes to red. If they turn red, I want to kill everything in sight.”

“Can we keep her dad? We could train her as a Hunter. We can help her control her power”

“Boy, don’t be blabbing your mouth to random strangers.”

“Please dad.” Ash pouted.

“Fine.” He turned to me. “Do you have any parents?”

“Y-yes, but they l-left me when I w-was very young.”

“Well now we’re your new family.” I smiled.

“T-thank you.”

“Do you have a name?”

“No.”

“Well, we can’t have that can’t me. Let’s name you Faith.”

“Now, come on. We’ll get you some real clothes.” I hopped off the bed happily
