First Day

The next day I get ready for my first day of high school at Ashbourne Independant Sixth Form College Ages 15 to 19. Technically I am not to attend until I am 15 but Zayn pulled a few strings.

Z: Stephanie are you ready?

I nod and walk down the steps to the car.

P: Have a good day

I walk into the entrance and am greeted by the headmaster.

MK: Hello you must be Ms. Malik?

S: Um Stephanie Malik Roberts

MK: My mistake welcome to our college! Bransyn can you show Ms. Roberts around?

B: Yeah! Hi Im Bransyn.

S: Stephanie.

B: You are the new girl that One Direction adopted from that-

S: Orphanage? Yeah. I won't be here long though.

B: Why?

S: They will send me back there.

B: Too bad. I really want to get to know a beautiful girl like you.

I blush and hide my face.

B: So this is Mr. Corby he teaches english and Mr. Yorkawitz he teaches business Ms. Martin who teaches Sociology Mr. Larsen who teaches law

This is going to sound really weird but I get lost in his eyes.

B: Stephanie? Stephanie?

S: Huh?

B: I asked what your first class is.

S: Oh... um.. Mr. Corby for English

B: Really? Me too! Want to walk together?

S: Sure

In class...

MC: Hello Class. Today we have a new student joining us today. This is Whoa...

The class looks at me.

MC: Sorry this is um Stephanie Malik-Roberts she just moved here. Come up and tell us a bit about you Stephanie.

S: I'm Stephanie. I just moved here from Cambridge and yeah

MC: Well we are VERY glad to have you in our class Stephanie. You can take a seat in the back next to Bransyn Cooper and Elena Mikesell.

I walk to the back.

B: Look we sit right next to each other!

EM: Hi I'm Elena

S: Hi

EM: You moved here from Cambridge? Does that make you a princess?

B: God Elena you don't have to be *Naff with her

EM: I'm just asking a question Bransyn

S: Um I don't know. My parents died in a house fire when I was six

B: Oh God that's horrible

I nod.

EM: Well that is the pits. You know my parents were shot by my eldest brother.

MC: Elena! Bransyn Put a sock in it! You too Stephanie just because it's your first day doesn't mean I'm going to cut you some slack.

EM: Sorry Mr. Corby!

MC: Today we are going to be reading a new novel about life after death. It is call "The Lovely Bones" by Alice Sebold

He passes out the books to everyone.

MC: Stephanie can you begin reading on page 12?

S: "I talked so I would not have known this in knowledge. Mr. Harvey was no character. He made me feel skeevy and icky now that he was blocking the door. 'Mr. Harvey I really have to get home.' 'Take off your clothes' 'What?' 'Take your clothes off,' Mr Harvey said 'I want to check if your still a virgin.' 'I am Mr. Harvey' I said. 'I want to make sure. Your parents will thank me.' 'My parents?' 'They only want good girls.' he said. 'Mr. Harvey,' I said, 'please let me leave' 'You aren't leavin Susie. You're mine now.' I fought hard. I fought as hard as I could not to let Mr. Harvey hurt me, but my hard-as-I-could was not hard enough. Not even close. and I was soon lying down on the ground with him on top of me panting and sweating having lost his glasses in the struggle. I was so alive then. It was the worst thing in the world to be lying flat on my back with a sweating man a top me..... Mr. Harvey pressed his lips into mine. They were blubery and wet and I wanted to scream but I was too afraid too exhausted from the fight. 'Dont Mr Harvey....I am done. May I be excused?

MC: Um, Yes?

I run out of the room before the tears stream down my face. I give Zayn a ring.

Z: Hello?

S: Can you come and get me?

Z: Why? What happened? Have you been crying?

S: Can you come get me?

Z: I'll be there in a few minutes.

S: Okay

I hang up.

B: Stephanie what is wrong?

S: Nothing- I- Just don't feel good.

B: You were crying.

S: No I wasn't I- Just have to go

B: Please you can tell me what's wrong

S: NO! NO I CAN NOT!

I take off running down the hall. Wow. Way to make an impression on my first day.
