Man I was thankful. I came back from my trip to Nigeria safely, without coming coming in any contacts with my mom siblings or our former church in Nigeria.
"Oh my baby. How was your trip?" My mom said as I gave her a hug. "It was good mama. It was nice. I mean, I got to see my home country again after so many years." I replied to my mom, as I sat down and ate some fruit loops.
"Does your girlfriend know your back?" Mom asked
"No. But I plan on going to surprise her at her house after I finish eating." I replied, she nodded. Iva came downstairs and hugged me.

"Last night. Around 9:20 pm. You were asleep at that time. So you didn't know." I replied.
I finished my food and took my plates to the sink along with my moms. Making sure to wash them and place them in the rack to dry.
