After school had ended, Eijiro walked quickly back to his dorm so he could do some research on Momo's case. When he had reached his laptop, he opened it up and he started to search up Momo's name. When he learned that someone else had been kidnapped the same day that Momo had been kidnapped, Eijiro hated how his thoughts when back to Katsuki being the culprit. Come on, that's not manly at all! Accusing my own best buddy of being a kidnapper. However, despite his own thoughts, Eijiro was having a very hard time trying to disprove his own thoughts. "Damn it." He groaned out.
"Everything okay, Kirishima?" It was Midoriya Izuku and Eijiro wondered if he could talk about the case with the timid teen.
"Yeah, just searching up some things." He beckoned Izuku into his room and the curly-haired teen shyly walked into his room.
"What are you searching up?" Izuku asked as he walked closer to Eijiro's bed. Eijiro turned to softly smile at Izuku before he had gotten serious.
"I'm checking out the details of Momo's kidnapping. Another person was kidnapped alongside her on the same day so I'm wondering if they are together." Eijiro tells Izuku and the teen sat on Eijiro's bed.
"Normally for these cases, I would have assumed that Momo is being held for ransom but according to her parents, no ransom has been given." Izuku tells Eijiro. Maybe it is Katsuki. Maybe it is your best friend. You have no idea what he can really do to people. Eijiro's thought process sent him into a spiral. "Eijiro, come back to me. Please." Izuku spoke as he rubbed Eijiro's back. When Eijiro was back with Izuku, he breathed in and out slowly.
"Thank you, Izuku. My brain was telling me that Katsuki had something to do with it but I don't want to believe that. He's my best buddy, you know." Eijiro tells Izuku and even though Izuku understood Eijiro's personal feelings, he knew that Eijiro going with his gut decision would be the best thing to do.
"Well, if it bothers you that much, maybe your gut feeling is right?" He offered as he hoped that he was helping out Eijiro, even if it was just a little bit. I don't want to believe that he did the crime but his recent actions have been suspicious enough. Eijiro thought as he sighed. He turned to look over at Izuku.
"Thanks, Izuku." Eijiro told Izuku as he was very grateful that the green-haired teen didn't mind hearing about his rambles and rants about the case.
"Any time, Eijiro." He responded with a sweet smile on his face. Eijiro was happy that Izuku was understanding the situation as he knew that it was hard for Izuku to accept that Katsuki would have done criminal acts.
"Kacchan was my bully growing up and as much as I want to believe he wouldn't commit any crimes, he does have a past with violence." Izuku tells Eijiro and the red-haired teen realized that he had said his thought out loud.
"Oh wow, I'm sorry about that, Izuku. I knew he was rough around the edges but I would never have thought that he would have done that." Eijiro tells Izuku and the teen hummed a bit in response.
"It's fine. I've gotten used to Kacchan's personality and things have gotten better between us, but I'm slowly starting to trust him. Well, I was starting to trust him but now, I believe he does have something to do with Momo's kidnapping." Izuku tells Eijiro. Eijiro believed it as well with Katsuki's confusing behavior. He didn't even seem concerned that she was even missing. He thought.
"Should we tell Aizawa-sensei?" He asked Izuku, wondering what the curly-haired teen was thinking about how to go about the situation.
"Would he believe us? Despite what he had said about us coming to him with problems, he will see this as us accusing Bakugou of the crime without evidence." Izuku tells Eijiro. The red-haired teen then sighed unhappily.
"This is true." He had to agree with Izuku's words.
"Don't worry, Eijiro. We won't sit still. If Bakugou really did commit the crime, then all we have to do is catch him with Momo. Maybe we can save Momo if we did that." Izuku tells Eijiro and the young man enjoyed Izuku's words as he smiled over at Izuku.
"How can we catch him because I know kidnappers wouldn't just allow their captives to walk around in broad daylight?" Eijiro asked Izuku and the green-eyed young man placed his hand under his chin as he closed his eyes, thinking up of a solution. After a while, Izuku opened his eyes.
"I haven't thought of anything yet, but when I do, I will let you know." Izuku promised Eijiro and the red-haired teen smiled at his friend.
"Thanks, MidoBro." Eijiro said with a small smile on his face.
"Any time, Eijiro. I'll see you tomorrow." Izuku promised as he walked back to his room.
XXX-XXX
The next day, Eijiro and Izuku were in the gym as Izuku helped Eijiro lift much heavier weights. "You got this, Ei." Izuku spoke as he made sure to grab any weights that were too heavy for Eijiro as he didn't want him to get hurt.
"Thanks, man. You're awesome." He turned to Izuku, sweat on his brow. Izuku smiled at him.
"Ready to switch?" He asked and Eijiro figured that he deserved a break as he moved out of the way so Izuku could place his place.
"Shitty Hair, Deku? What are you two doing?" The two teens looked up to see Katsuki looking at them with confusion written all over his face. When the hell did these two start hanging out? He was very confused as he had never seen the two teens alone with just themselves.
"Hmm? We're working out." Eijiro spoke carefully, not wanting to make Katsuki angry and Katsuki noticed the careful tone. Shit, I got careless with my anger outbursts. He thought. He knew that he had to be careful now that Eijiro was starting to latch onto his rival. I won't let them find out about Momo and (Y/N). Katsuki thought.
