Chapter 16

"When are they getting here?" I ask Mike "I'm not sure I told them seven so that we could eat and then have a few drinks." He replied. We have a few nights that are our party nights with the guys. There was a knock on the door. "Hey guys!" Jaimie says entering the apartment. "What's up?" I ask. "Nothing, starving, where's the food?" he jokes. "Chill Jaimie, It'll be done in a second." Says Mike. Mike goes into my bedroom leaving me and Jaimie alone. "Sooo, I heard about the beach." Says Jaimie. "He told you!" I said kind of angry "Wait, told me what he just said you guys spent like the whole day there. Now I wanna know!" he said. "Ugh, you tricked me." I said "Maybe..." He said. "I'm not telling you Jaimie." I said sarcastically. "Not fair" he said. "Did you guys finally, you know" He said raising his eyebrows. "Jaimie!" Mike said coming into the living room. "I was just messing around." Jaimie says. I laugh at him. Mike sits down next to me. "Do you care if I tell him about the beach , so he'll get off of our backs about it?" he whispers "No I don't care, don't let it bother you so much." I said "I know but it just gets right to me. I don't like when they attack the thing that means the most." He said sincerely. "Aww, babe. Okay I understand." I said He kissed me on the forehead and we slowly let go of each others hand. He walks over to Jaimie who was checking on dinner for us. Mike hands him a pot holder to pull it out of the oven. The other guys arrive, I let them in while Jaimie and Mike are talking. "Do you really want to know what happened on the beach or are you just messing around with me?" said Mike "No, you never talk about your relationship with her. Everyone can see it's special but you don't tell us what's going on." Said Jaimie. "I know, it's just so special. It's just been so easy." said Mike. "Well what's going on?" said Jaimie. "Well, we went to the beach and I told her I love her. I knew it before I didn't want to say it before. I don't want to loose her, you know?" said Mike. "Aww Mike!" said Jaimie. "I know, I know." said Mike blushing. "Dude you're totally blushing right now." Jaimie joked. "But seriously, we're all here for you to talk to, this thing you've got going seems really great, I'm happy for you." said Jaimie. "Thanks." said Mike.
