Chapter 11

Until , she found Jamie.

The perfect partner for prom . He literally was a lifesaver for her because she had no one to go to prom with as of when Jamie approached her .They even started going out before the prom day .

Their story was the typical ,sweet kind .He saw her at a family gathering and they later realized that they went to the same school since jamie's family had shifted to oxford .They didn't talk much at the family gathering but met at school and had many classes together .

That is where it all started from .He approached her during the health period and asked whether she wanted to hang out later . She readily agreed because she had been noticing him lately since after the family gathering that day .

The days went on with them getting closer and closer .They became best friends and also fell in love , a typical cute love story . But she had no idea what was in store for her .

--PROM DAY--

Debbie's POV:

Finally the day of prom arrived , one of the events from senior year, that everyone is most excited about . I had my  outfit and hair and accessories all figured out since junior year .

"Pass me the curler Ali . Aliiiiiiiishaaaaa... Jamie and luke will be here any minute." I screamed at alisha .

I had already worn my outfit with my brand new shoes sleekly fitting my feet . I had finally learnt to put on make up flawlessly , and managed to do it today as well.

"Hereeeeeee. Hold it .I don't have the time ." Now she yelled at me .

I was quick to curl my hair and I swear to god when I looked at myself in the mirror, I failed to recognize myself . I expected some great compliments , first one coming from Alisha .

"Debb - - - - - - - - - Oh my god .You look so so pretty.Jamie is so so lucky."

"So am I . He is so beautiful." I said abruptly almost interrupting her.

Even alisha looked so gorgeous and so I complimented her and hurried off downstairs when I realised that Luke and Jamie were already waiting outside.

As we walked out of the house , both of them stared at us lovingly with gaping mouths. Even I was awestruck when I saw Jamie , he looked so handsome in his three -piece suit .He innocently put his arms around my waist and hugged me tightly kissing me on my forehead .

When we came back to reality , we realised that Alisha and Luke had already left . So we hurried to the venue as Jamie opened the door for me , although I wanted to hold the door for him.

Before we knew it , we were at the school parking lot . I asked Jamie to wait for a second while I got off and held the door open for me .He instantly blushed , not at all expecting it . I kissed his cheek and tucked my arm into his .

The party was in full bloom when we entered and we had to literally cut through the crowd of high schoolers dancing crazily .We soon scanned the entire room and finally saw Alisha and Luke and our other friends who were already set to party.We both grabbed our drinks and the next thing I know was we were jumping on the dance floor.

Jamie was super sweet about the way he held me while we danced . He was very shy and introverted. I remember him telling me that he had only been in one relationship before me and that too was to keep the girl's heart .The girl proposed to him and he was very shy at first and in denial of what was happening but he accepted it later.

So I was always non cheesy around him although I am used to being cheesy normally when I get around guys. I don't know how to react . In short I become very stupid .

After the dance party came to a halt , we all were famished so we headed towards the food stall .I felt a little something happening between luke and Alisha .I was happy for Alisha because she had only got betrayal from her past relationships .

Food was done and we finally headed home .I fell asleep on our way back to my house .Before I caught hold of my surroundings , we were already in front of my house .Jamie was very sweet to open the door for me and lead me to my front door.As I gave him a good night hug and turned to enter the house , he very sweetly held my forearm which caused me to turn around . I asked him what was it .

"Can I kiss you on the cheek?" he turned red as soon as he said that and looked at his shoes.

It did not even take me a millisecond to go on my toes and kiss him on the cheek .

He got startled and blushed even harder .

" Night Jamie . I love you ", it came out of reflex.I got numb for a minute or two just staring at Jamie .

"Good night Debbie .I love you too."

"Drive safe .Text me later ."

"Yeah."

As I went to my room after chilling with my parents for a while , I had this sudden realization of our vacation trip what I wished would have happened with Daniel was begin to happen with Jamie.

I was happy but a little sad too . Wait I should be happy right ?

But I don't know what led to me being sad .I really love Jamie with my whole heart . My heart and soul had totally forgotten who Daniel was until I said " I love you" to Jamie that night .

I am just curious about how everything will go about in the future .
