Olivia's Inner Thoughts
These last few months have been a lot but now it seems everyone but me is moving on and finding their way. Asher is going to spend some much needed time with his mom all summer. Layla has found her niche' in writing and producing music so she is going to be touring with Coop along with her dad and his artists this summer. Jordan and Simone have finally admitted their love for one another. Mom is the new DA and she has been busy non-stop and dad has officially moved out. Spencer is recovering well from his arm injury and well then there's me. I am enjoying my new podcast and it gives me an outlet to express myself but I still have these emotions that I can't shake or rather I haven't dealt with them. I have been sober an entire year and I am very proud of my sobriety. But since the shooting, I have these emotions that I don't know what to do with them. I feel like I am spiraling with no where to turn. Leslie is not answering my calls and the temptation is riding my back. I keep going ack to look at the little pill (why am I holding on to it) with so much temptation and each time it's getting harder and harder to resist. Where on earth is my sponsor and why isn't she returning my phone calls. I have left over 20 messages. Maybe I should just go downstairs and leave this pill alone in my room?
(Liv snaps out of it and heads downstairs to get a snack)
"I guess I should go grocery shopping since I will be here pretty much by myself all summer." Olivia is opening several kitchen cabinet doors looking for snacks when she runs across a bottle of vodka. She looks at it and says to herself, "It's not a pill." This is her convincing herself that drinking the vodka is not like taking a pill. She enjoys the taste and drinks some more until she hears someone enters through the door. She quickly places the vodka back and to her surprise she sees Spencer. "What are you doing here? I thought you were back in Crenshaw with you mom and Dillon?" "I was but I came back to check on you. With Jordan with Simone and everyone doing their own thing. We are all we got", says Spencer . Olivia stared at him with a shocked look when she asked him "You came to check on me?" Spencer assured her that she always got him and to never fear being alone as long as he is around. To break the slight awkward moment, Spencer asks her what silly reality show should they watch tonight. He allowed her to pick the show while he grabbed a few snacks. Olivia felt like a weight had been lifted off her because she didn't have to face her hidden temptation alone but now she had Spencer there to keep her focus and mind off the attempt. As she began to call out the different reality shows, she heard glass shattered on the floor. She immediately got up and looked at Spencer who was standing in the front of the open refrigerator with an alarming look on his face.
She immediately runs to him and ask him if he's okay. Spencer tells her that he can't move his arm. She wraps her arm around his waist and helps back over to the couch. Spencer is taking it all in with flashbacks of the doctor clearing him and stating that if there was any nerve damage or repercussions he would have seen them way before now. After Olivia cleans up the broken glass, she asks Spencer if he wants to go to the hospital. Before he can answer, he realizes that his arm has feeling in it again. He is confused and not sure what happened. Olivia gives him a look that reads she is confused as well. Because she doesn't trust it, she begins to walk off to grab her cell phone to call her dad but Spencer instantly grabs her hand. "Don't call Coach, Liv. He is going to panic and I don't want to worry him or my mom. If it happens again, feel free but for right now just let it be." Olivia wasn't really feeling his way but she respected his wishes and let it be known that if it happened again, she will handle it on her own with or without his approval. He just laughed, "Whatever you say Olivia Baker." They both laughed. After watching a few hours of reality t.v. , Spencer realized it was getting pretty late and he should probably head back to Crenshaw. Olivia had this slight disappointed look in her face that Spencer could read. He asked her, "Are you okay?" She lied and said, "Yes, I am fine just tired. Probably just reality tv overload." He knew she wasn't been honest but wasn't going to press the issue and knew she would tell him what was on her mind when she was ready. She walked him to door and he proceeded to leave. "Good night, Liv". "Good night, Spencer". He hugged her and she closed her eyes feeling a sense of security. Before the door completely closed as he exited, she spoke loudly, "Spencer, wait!"
*I hope you enjoyed "Just You & Me". This was just me laying the foundation into the summer. It pretty much covered what really did happened in Season 2 finale with me adding my own twist to it as well. Now, here come the fun part. Everything from this point on will be my own creative taste to what I think happened or could have happened over the summer. Episode 12 of Season 3 airs tonight and we all want to know "What's next for Spencer and Olivia?" Let me know what you all think and plots & twist to stay away from that you have already heard/read.
