Eyes on Fire

Introduction

Life for us isn't normal. We live among humans, but aren't ones ourselves. We had good lives, and we didn't want it to change, and never thought it would, until a stranger came to town who made us all wonder, if we're really as safe as we thought we all were.

Chapter 1

Hi there, I'm Jasper Winters. I stopped ageing when I was 22 years old . Your probably wondering why I have stopped ageing. I'm a werewolf, so in reality, I'm actually around 213 years old. I'm a nice guy, smart, kind, and very protective of my family. I have short brown hair and brown eyes. Then there's my beautiful mate, Skarlett. She stopped ageing when she was 21. No, she's not a werewolf, she's a vampire. And to get rid if all that twilight crap that's probably in your head right now, yes we can mate, no, we don't hate each other, no she doesn't stink, she smells wonderfully actually. She doesn't sparkle. You can see her in a mirror, the sun does not affect her, so no, she is very different from what you know. She's a very sweet girl and is as protective as I am, she has brown hair and hazel eyes. Her eyes do change colour, but only when she is hunting . Then there is our little one on the way. Skar is 4 months pregnant. We have a feeling it's going to be a boy and can't wait.

Well enough about my own little family, lets introduced you too everyone else. First there is Caspian and Elizabeth. Cas can engulf himself with flames, he can shoot it out of him and use it outside of just his body. He's a sweet guy, speaks his mind and doesn't care what people think if him. He has brown curly hair, green eyes and dimples . Then there's his mate, Elizabeth, everyone calls her Eliz, except Skar, she calls her Lizzie, which pisses her off. Eliz can shape shift into anyone or anything. She's a sweet girl but is very spontaneous, opinionated, and easy to talk too. She has blue eyes and long blonde hair. Then there's Alik and Cacey. Alik can engulf himself in ice and makes things out of it, or shoot it out if him and use it on other things or people, Alik is the older brother of Cas but he looks younger. He's funny and out going and spontaneous but can get serious if he had too. He has short brown hair and bright blue eyes. Cacey Now ,His mate, can change people's minds. She can read someone's mind, then change their mind and make them do something that they were not planning on doing. She's quiet but funny and the sweetest person ever. She has long curly red hair, big hazel eyes.

That's it, that's our family, we're not human, but we live among them. They never ask questions even though they know there is something off about us. We live in peace And we have good lives we would never want to change. And if anyone thinks they can change our lives. They need a reality check. We're family we are here for each other no matter what, and no one is ever going to change us.

Chapter 2

JASPER'S POV

Skar was due any day now. She was feeding well we would always find her a good blood supply from a healthy human looking for a quick buzz from her venom. They always come back for more so we always have enough. We confirmed that its a boy and we already have a name Clint Ace Winters, Ace means Unity like a family that stays together. "Jasper!!" Skarlett called "My water broke!" I rushed over to her as Cas, Eliz, Alik and Casey all followed. "Babe, take deep breaths. Breath with me." I coaxed. Breathing with her. We weren't gonna bother calling the hospital Skar has a high pain tolerance so this should be easy. "Skar, can you push?" I asked she nodded. "3, 2, 1, Push!!" I said as she pushed. I could touch his head. "Again babe he's almost out." I spoke calmly She pushed again and he was out, but he wasn't breathing properly, although his eyes were open and he was awake. Then I remembered he was half Vampire as well as Werewolf. He didn't need to breath. Skar sat up and asked to hold him. "Clint Ace Winters, I think that name suits him perfectly" she spoke as I handed him to her. "He's beautiful" Alik cooed from behind Skar looking down at him while Casey was at his side. "He's adorable" agreed Eliz also look at Clint while at Cas's side. Skar healed fast and was soon ready to get up. We had Clint's room already for him. With a mural of Trees on one wall and the rest was painted a forest green with brown trim around the windows.

SKARLETT'S POV

I started to breath heavy as my water broke while Jasper and the others ran to my aid. Jasper wanted me to breath with him and I did as I was told (although I didn't need to). He told me to push I pushed until Clint was out. I asked Jazz if I could hold him and he let me. Clint was perfect, his clear soft skin, his dark hair his blue eyes and little hands and feet. He was beautiful. I was surprised he wasn't crying but he was quiet and curious. His sea blue eyes looking at my face, he reached his hands up to touch my face. I smiled. I was soon able to carry him to his room. We weighed him and he was a heavy baby, 9 pounds 8 ounces. Then again he was a hybrid so he wouldn't be the normal child you would expect. I lay his head in his crib he stays there for a while as I watch him but soon starts to cry. I pick him up as Jasper looks over my shoulder then up at my face. "We made him babe." He said kissing my lips. "Yes, and he will be with us forever." I smiled and kissed him again. Clint was looking at his Dad then back to me a cute little smile on his face. He reaches towards Jasper. I hand him to his father as a smile pulls at his lips. Alik and the others walk in the room and look around. "Wow, I have never seen this room before." Alik commented. "I know, I love it and I think the little one will too." Jasper responded. "Well of corse he will, he's a hybrid," remarked Caspian. "And it seems to me that he loves it."
