We walked into his room i was still shaken by what he did once 
we entered the room he fell against a king sized bed i had never slept int a bed this big i laid down next to him as he pulled me closer wrapping his arms around my waist pushing his head against my chest he was tired and upset so i didnt say much i hummed a soft tune holding him close to my chest playing with his hair softly i look at him eugene riley jones how cute i laugh he looks up
“Whats so funny?” he yawns i push the fallen hair away from his 
tired eyes
“Nothing just thinking about how your middle name is riley its 
cute makes you less threatening” i say he laughs softly punching my stomach 
“Shut up at least mine isnt weird like yours” he says i 
dramatically gasp
“It is not beside i go by my middle name” i joked he looked up at 
me 
“No you go by a shortened version of your name its still astrililine 
like what type of drugs was scott on when he decided your middle name besides just because my middle name makes me less threatening doesnt mean i still couldnt beat your ass” he murmurs into my chest i laugh
“Yeah but you wouldnt hurt me” i say he looks back up
“Wasnt the whole reason why we met because i was trying to kill 
you?” he asked  smirked
“You wouldnt hurt me anymore” i said he laughed before 
nuzzling his face into my chest
“Cant say your wrong babe” he said softly his breathing started 
to slow as he started to make almost like kitty biscuits as he fell asleep his snores almost sounded like soft purrs was he an actual cat in disguise i soon fell asleep afterwards 

The next morning was slow and froggy i didnt want to get up i 
had slept in a bed this comfortable in well ever but once eugene got up i was up we got the others together and headed out i knew eugene wanted to leave as fast as humanly possible and never come back so i tried to hurry up we started to head more up the mountain from the kingdom garden where the book his father had explained into a cave system we stopped mid way through eugene sat at a hole in the wall that faced the ocean he had been so distant and trapped in his thought too much which scared me i sat next to him 
“Eugene are you ok?” i asked he shook his head 
“No astra im not i just killed my father impulsively i also killed my 
brother watched camie die and i’ve been thinking what if i had become my father and i havent noticed what if i am the monster they said i was” he said his voice cracking i looked at him he was in pain too much i rubbed his back hes just a kid he shouldnt have to deal with what he is going through hes only 17 a 17 year old who can barely cry and is in pain 24/7 having to be constantly reminded of his mistakes i wrap my arms around him as he shakes in my arms
“Eugene your not a monster you wont have to worry about 
anything after we get to the machine i promise” i say he nods
“Astra?”he questioned looking at me i answered with a hm sound “you said i was a king” he said looking at his wrists
“Yeah what about it?” i replied before he sat up straight
“Of what im the king of a fallen kingdom just like my father said a 
crater” he said his voice cracking again i hold him close as he started to break down i rubbed the scar on his wrist from where is father hit him he wiped his eyes dry before standing up taking on look out towards the ocean once more “come on assie we should go” he says i take is hand 
“Before we go i want you to teach me to shoot” i say he looks at 
me confused at my request 
“What why” he say i pull my gun out that i took
“I stole this from my father” i say he looks at me softly “i want to 
protect myself and my siblings and you” i say he sighs before pointing at a hawk he took my gun didnt hesitate before shooting it hitting it first shot 
“Aims good now To shoot is to trust your gun and trust yourself 
take a deep breath aim and shoot dont be afraid of it nor the thing your shooting nor yourself point your gun at me” he says i look at him 
“Im not doing that” i responded he looked and me serious
“Do it” he snaps i do it and he laughs he pushes the gun barrel 
down “your too cute” he says he take hs fathers book walking behind me helping my stance “line the hole to the line to the book and when i say shoot” he says he starts moving till he finds it “now” he says i pull the trigger hitting it first shot 
“I did it” he says proudly i laugh nodding
“We should continue our lesson later” he said we headed in 
deeper into the cave as we fell deeper into the cave it soon become more and more dangerous eugene persisted we continued until he fell down a steep area hitting his head 
“Eugene!” i yelled rushing over seeing his body limp on the 
ground no no no no he cant he cant be i slid down quickly checking his pulse when i got there nothing but cold i start panicking no he cant be dead he cant i push him attempting to wake him up but he wouldnt i started crying the others fell down 
“Is he ok?” i hear atlas ask before gasping i shake 
“Oh no” she says starting to cry she kneeled down attempting to 
find some pulse as well
“Astra cant you heal him?” he asked i shook my head crying 
“I-i cant its too late” i responded angel started to breakdown as i 
held him tightly damnit damnit damnit i should have stopped him this was stupid he’d still be here if he had just killed me they’d all be here him camie elijah i scratch my wrist 
“Who dares disturb my slumber” i woman growls we all tense up 
as a giant woman comes up from the water her skin a silvery green with snakes for hair “what is 4 mere mortals such as you doing here” she said 
“Where in search of the machine to heal the black suns” i say 
she nods looking at us 
“I see i see i could help you but alas im trapped in this retched 
body i use to be a beautiful lass till i was killed by the same illness you seek the cure for and turned into this monstrous creature” the woman says sighing she looks over at eugene “you boy with the orange hair can you tell me who is that one” she says i tense up 
“His name is eugene riley jones he fell from up there and didnt 
make it” i explained the fish lady’s eyes widened 
“Riley you say?” she responds her voice becoming sad “boy did 
he grow up to be a handsome man” she says i look up
“You know him?” i asks she nods 
“My name is annabelle lee jones im the older sister of the boy 
riley” she says i look at her shocked annabelle lee the sister of eugene the beauty in the painting now a monster if the waters “you and the lassy with the orange hair your snow elves” she pointed to me and angel “you can fix me i can help you” annabelle says i look at her confused 
“What do you mean?” i say angel nods confused
“You three siblings but you two are snow elves” she says i look 
at angel “i can tell by your eyes dark blue and light pink and your skin snow white collectively you two can help me and then i can help you she says angel looks back at me i together we hold our hands up to the merlady light shone from our hands as the fish woman became the beauty in the painting she was naked i averted  my eyes and so did atlas 
“Hot damn grimmie said you where beautiful i believe that was 
an understatement” angel says giving her the jacket that she wore 
“Aw your so sweet lass” she says before looking over at eugene 
she kneeled down pushing his hair away from his face tears struck her he had broken his left horn on the way down along with a small crack forming on his right cheek “my poor sweet baby brother im sorry” she whispers kissing his forehead she stood up “follow me” she says taking us to the machine i smile finally we made it the ground shook as it broke up came a massive fish from the water attacking us flinging atlas back against the wall this had to be the leviathan
“angel take atlas and heal him!” i yelled angel nodded as she 
rushed to find a hiding place behind the machine i shot at it with a gun as anna shot ice spears at him i looked at her confused before jumping out of the way of its tail it quickly grabbed me i yelled shooting its eyes out annabelle used electricty to chock the water it growned but only got more angry i was about to be eaten till something cut it into several pieces i started to fall into the water which was still electrical i screamed till i felt my hand being grabbed i looked up seeing grimm he had wings and cat ears? He dropped me on the land
“Thought i died didnt you babe” he said with a cocky smirk i 
looked at him with a confused look 
“Eugene you idiot dont do that again” i said hugging him tightly 
he stepped back before embrassing me tightly as i cried 
“Hey hey its ok we did it” he said pointing at the machine “we did 
it” he repeated kissing my lips softly before looking over at annabelle “annie?” he said before walking towards her 
“God you’ve gotten so big riley” she says they hugged tightly 
once they finished we jumped into fixing the broken machine the entire time i looked at the now winged boy confused
“What?” he asked i looked away
“Do i need a reason to look at my boyfriend i like to look at 
something nice before i start to fix up something like this” i say he smirks
“Ah so where using the big ‘b’ word now huh” he joked i punched 
his shoulder
“Well what would i call you then?” i asked he smirked
“Well we never really made it official you just kinda kissed me” 
he laughed i rolled my eyes playfully 
“Hey you kissed me” i responded he leaned against the machine 
“More like you where leaning in to kiss me and i closed the gap” 
he said i shake my head kissing him
“There is it official now” i responded “now go sit somewhere and 
look handsome thats not in the way” i say making him chuckle
“Ok ok fine pushy”he says sitting next to me 
“May i ask why are you a cat now you explained the wings not 
the cat part” i asked he looked at me scratching his once pointy ears that where now catlike that was the same color as the color that was under his eyes
“At some point we get abilities in our lives like how anna could 
control elements such as water electricity fire and ice and im just a cat don't worry i’ll go back to being the non cat me in a few minutes just the wings stay sadly” he says i nod laughing i soon fix the machine and atlas goes to get blood from the levithan we pour it in nothing happens i look at it confused 
“No why isnt it working?” i say worried i think before realizing 
“eugene your father said that it was your blood that was the cure so that means your the leviathan the blue glass werent the demons they where there cure” i say he looks at me confused
“Wow wow wow thats a big observation” he says stepping back 
before looking at his wrist “just big enough to make sense”he says he walks over before cutting his hand with a knife the blood spilling into the machine as it starts working it goes through a process before spilling into a bowl i hesitate before drinking it i felt weird as it runs through my body i go and hug the cat boy and my brother tightly crying angel and annabelle lee joining we did it we did it

Epilogue

It had been 6 years since we where able to cure the illness news 
got out that the machine was real and fixed and soon the illness died off completely angel settled down which was a surprise and got with anna which isnt as much as a surprise but still a surprise they took in one of the children from terrane and speaking of terrane atlas decided to go back to there to help whisper with the children we wound out that eugene had a secret talent of writing so he finished the book and published it 
Eugene surprised me when he said he wanted to clean up the 
glassian village and welcome people i didnt argue i was actually happy when he said that he took time to clean up and take care of the over grown area and angel and annabelle decided to stay with us with their kid Dusty a rough hard headed child with red hair and rainbow like eyes
 we took in abandon child who was barely able to walk we 
decided to name him ichiro at first eugene was hesitant about it but soon gave into the idea eugene wasnt the king of a crater he was the king of his people he fought for his kingdom and became much stronger and wiser still a stupid idiot and still scared of touch but thats what i love about him he was also a big cluts now that he had wings and he never grew out of it it was adorable when he would stretch and his wings would unknowingly stretch with him and knock something over life became easy i was finally happy no more coughing fits no more pain for eugene no more worries everything was fine 
A statue was put up for camie and stories where told about elijah 
stories where told about all of us the book became a best sellers in the inside was a picture of camie with the words ‘though your gone your memory shine through every one you met on this journey' then a list of names of all of us even elijah
 me and eugene soon married 3 years ago it was an isolated
marriage the kids whisper atlas annabelle and angel its funny cause angel got a little too tipsy and didnt know that annabelle was her wife and forgot that she wasnt in the casino anymore and tried to offer her a lap dance but got politely declined 
Its been a long trip and not an easy one but in the end we made it made us come out stronger all of us
