I sent them to work, then walked to my closet feeling Merlin's eyes boar into my back I pulled the hood up slightly more, I pulled some enchanted chalk out of a jar and walked to where he was standing. "What are you going to do? Draw some flowers like a toddler," he sneered "just wait and see!" I snapped, I started drawing  to a circle around Merlin. Muttering the incantation as I went. The scraping of chalk on the polished marble made me wince when I had finished I took a step back and clicked my fingers a ring of fire surrounded Merlin, I saw a hint of fear flash across his face but it stayed a hint it didn't grow into the reaction I wanted. I huffed and tried to walk as smoothly as possible to give the illusion of gliding. I had just sat down when the grand doors burst open and Molly ran in completely ignoring the circle all the way up the stairs embracing me in a huge bear hug "um Molly company." I muttered "oh sorry Ro." She apologised she leant over and whispered excitedly in my ear, "can I go see him?" "Fine! But make it quick." I responded. She morphed into a raven and flew smoothly down to his circle, "Wow can I have an autograph?" She asked excitedly I cleared my throat loudly "But Rose please," she begged "just go and check on Hans or something." I said desperate to get her out "oh yay bye Rose!" She flew out the doors slamming behind her.

Merlins POV

"Wow you haven't been doing this long have you?" I smirked at her unprofessional way of dealing with her captors. "What! I've done this millions of times before!" She snapped she shot up out of her throne and within a few seconds was standing in front of the barrier, I could tell she had made the silly choice of standing to close and the fire was making her hot under that big winter cloak. She removed the hood and I saw it wasn't an old which as usual but a young beautiful maiden, I couldn't keep my mouth shut. "Your n not a a witch." I stammered "no and pick your jaw up I can't stand gawkers." Dark Rose ordered "pardon me for asking but how did a  maiden like you end up in one of king Whites castle's as a villain?" I asked, she was lost for words her mouth opened and closed several times like a goldfish. "H ho how d did you know?" She stuttered "well Miss I have been to three of king Whites castles and they all have this exact same marble flooring and I believe that oil painting you blasted with lightning says king and queen White on it." I remarked smirking at her open mouth "I thought you didn't like gawkers." I stated she put her hood up and stomped out the room making sure to slam the doors extra loud. I sat down "you just got Merlined." I muttered sitting on the cold floor. The door opened and the butler started feather dusting the window sills "sorry about Rose, she used to be a delightful young lady but years of neglect in the end equals to an sensitive and emotional soul." He apologised in his thick French accent "what do you mean neglect? She lives in a castle." I asked confused "her father king White always favoured her twin, Snow and he sent her to the castle by herself to live." He responded "what! She's king Whites daughter!" I gasped "yes young man, youngest daughter of king and queen White by 70 seconds. Now if you want to know more be nice to her she has a habit of blowing up those who annoy her." He remarked "oh and it's her birthday today so you could start by wishing her a happy birthday." He suggested.

Roses POV

"I hate him I hate him!" I yelled to Molly in the vast guest suite my voice echoed and in the end probably would have killed her if she was a raven for her hearing. "Come on, he can't be that bad." She said putting a comforting hand on mine and squeezing it gently, "he's so cocky and you would think I was his captor the way he talks to me." I sobbed "hey it's your first day with a captee, the first is bound to be the hardest. anyway happy birthday!" She cried a smile that reached her ears smeared on her face. "Thanks Molly but I'd rather not celebrate." Said glumly wiping the smile clean off. "But I made you a cake and got you a little something." She said pushing a black box wrapped in black silk toward me "please no." I said firmly "I'll open it for you." She offered "fine!" I snapped taking the box and gently removing the wrapping, inside was a beautiful necklace I recognised immediately as my mother's. Tears welled up in my eyes but I tried forcing them back but they forced their way back streaming down my face in tiny rivers gathering on my chin and dripping onto my lap. "Thanks Molly." I let out a breath I didn't notice I had been holding and dived into hug with Molly. "It was in your fathers room. I thought you would like it." She said holding me in her arms "thanks Mol." I whispered "all good Ro. Can we have some cake now?" Molly asked whipping out a red velvet with little edible roses on it, I giggled "sure Molly." I sighed as she whipped out her dagger and cut a slice of cake and handed it to me I took a bite and handed the rest back to her "thanks Molly but I have to guard our Prisoner." "Ok Rose see ya later." She said I took the necklace "here I'll help." Molly took the necklace and put it around my neck the small red ruby encrusted heart was cold against my chest.  I took the long way back to the throne room. Passing the only family portrait I hadn't destroyed mum was holding baby Snow and dad was holding baby me and mum was wearing the necklace that now hung around my neck. I fought back tears and pushed on I paused outside the oversized throne room door then bit my tongue and pushed it open.

Merlins POV

The door creaked open and Rose was standing in the doorway I could finely see her actual body shape because her dark cloaked had been ditched for a simple white and black dress. Her hourglass body shape curved in and out perfectly and her brown hair flowed behind her like a veil. She almost glided into the room towards my ring of fire. My heart rate was out of control "um so happy birthday." I almost whispered "sorry what did you say?" She asked "happy birthday." I repeated  "oh thanks." She blushed her face softened, "so uh you are magical too?" "Oh yes I am," she blushed harder "um who did you train with?" "Um Gandalf." "Oh my goodness same here." I said smiling hard her smile was about 10 times more beautiful that all the stars in the sky, she had a slight red smudge that looked like frosting on her upper lip I leaned out of the fire ring to wipe the smudge off and she instinctively slapped my hand away her face snapped out of the beautiful smile suddenly. "Why am I talking to you?" She asked herself as she stormed off and sat at the table with the 3D map.
