Roses POV

I could hardly concentrate writing my ransom letter to King White. I sighed loudly throwing my 9th try into the small over flowing rubbish bin. "Stuck?" Merlin asked his smooth English accent thick almost annoyingly perfect the way the words rolled around before making their way too my ears. "Yes." I admitted turning to look at his perfect almond face lips together in a small smile  his eyes glimmering in the afternoon sun seeping through the half closed drapes. in a trance I walked over "aufero ignis." I muttered removing the ring of fire, he gasped as I removed his satchel and threw it across the room. He couldn't keep his eyes off my face and I couldn't keep mine off his deep pools of chocolate pulling me in deeper, "follow me." He whispered delicately in my ear.

Merlins POV

I took her hand gently her soft fingers were cold to the touch small and delicate, I walked to the window and opened the curtain fully. Her face scrunched up and she leaned back the light played tricks with her hair, pale skin reflected on the sun giving her a heavenly glow. "Please shut the curtain." She said scrunching her face up more. I drew the curtain. And she slowly opened her eyes I realised that they weren't black as they seemed earlier they're honey brown  almost gold in colour. "What's up and don't tell me your a vampire?" "She chuckled "no I'm not a vampire, I just haven't been during the day since I was 8." Rose said. "8! that's 10 years." I breathed shocked. "Yeah well my mum meant a lot too my dad and when she died I was too much for him too handle so he sent me to this castle and I've been here ever since."  I grabbed her waist and pulled her into an awkward hug.

Roses POV

Merlin's body was warm and soft, awkward at first but I pulled him closer and I fully understood what love was for the first time in my life it was him it was everything I'd lost and I had right now. His long fingers found my hair and tangled themselves round the strands. Wait I'm evil! I stomped on his foot and pointed to his circle I looked down solemnly, he trudged back to his circle then turned to me "you don't have to do this!" He pleaded "ignis." I muttered under my breath, the fire licked up until it was at its original height. "Please Rose your good you could never be like a villain." My head snapped up to look at him tears threatened to overcome but I fought them this time I won, "No Merlin! Your wrong and I am sending out the ransom letters now." I cried running to my desk scribbling  down a ransom and putting my fingers in my mouth and whistling.

Merlins POV

The whistle echoed off the high ceiling and an owl as white as snow flew out of no where and landed on her shoulder. She softly whispered something to the owl attaching the letter to its leg before it took off leaving the room with a crash as the doors shut behind it. "Please Rose please!" I begged "it's dark Rose mistress of the night to you! she snapped "no your name is Rose." I responded returning to a relaxed pose staring her square in the face. She whipped around with an exaggerated hair flick and returned to her desk. She sat their for hours staring at the map I could see her eyes were glazed even though she tried to hide it.

Roses POV

I stared deeply at my map refusing to move, refusing to look at him giving him the satisfaction of knowing I had fallen for his spell!
