Chapter 2 - Class time!

After changing into proper uniforms, we set off to our classrooms. Now, I'm 4E! I'm so excited for my first lesson in fourth grade!

The bell rang and in came our new class teacher. She was dressed in a white lace dress which looked both casual and elegant.

"Good morning students! I will be your new class teacher this year! Call me Miss Elliana! I will be your English teacher this year!"

Miss Elliana has such a cheerful smile! I could tell this is going to be a fun year!

"Firstly, we have English. Open your spelling books please, we are going to have spelling now!"

Oh no! Spelling for the first lesson? Almost all of the class was as shocked and nervous as I am. On the other hand, Diamond was almost smiling. She was a perfect student after all. 

I flipped open my brand new yellow spelling book. I also had other homework exercise books of different colors, pink for creative writing, blue for sentences, green for math, and also purple for potion class.

"Okay class! Here's the first word," said (should I say cheered?) Miss Elliana. "Capitalization."

WHAT?! I never even wrote that word ONCE! I hope the following words won't be that hard...

I ended up getting seven out of ten. Except "capitalization", I also didn't know "esophagus" and most importantly, "supercalifragilisticexpialidocious". IS THAT EVEN A WORD?! Well, Diamond was the only one who scored full marks. 

I really wanted to say congratulations to her, but leave that till recess! I don't want to get punished on the first day just for disturbing the lesson! So, I just gave her a thumbs-up sign with my fingers.

The next few lessons turned out okay. We had math, then arts, which we had to write our name in thick outlined letters and paint them with gradient effect. In fact, I was pretty proud of myself! We also had PE (It's another word for sports).

Finally, it was recess! I went over to Diamond in the playground.

"Hey there, Diamond!" I said to her.

"Hello Yourailiya! How was spelling?" Diamond wasn't worried at all.

"Okay ,I guess." I replied.
