The Rogues are Back (Moved to Ao3)

The Meeting

Stephen's Pov

Watching Peter shut down the Rogues was entertaining. Tony shut off the security camera and stood watching the elevator. We all faced the elevator.

The elevator doors opened and Peter and the Rogues exited the elevator.

"Here they are Mr. Stark. I wish you the best of luck." Peter said.

"Thanks kid, go ahead to lab. I'll be there after this." Tony said.

Peter nodded and went back into the elevator. The Rogues were visiblely uncomfortable.

"Welcome Rogues. Take a seat. Today's meeting will be introductions and some rules, tomorrow's we'll go over rules on the battlefield and some other stuff." Carol said.

The Rogues took a seat on the stools, couch, wherever there was room.

"I'm Carol Danverse also known as Captain Marvel. I'm the leader of the New Avengers. If you have any questions feel free to ask me, Rhodey, Dr. Strange and Danny." Carol stood crossing her arms.

"You know already know who I am." Tony looked at the wall beside him.

"You know me as well. Rhodey, War Machine." Rhodey said.

"Dr. Strange and I protect your reality douchebag." Tony snorted probably remembering our first meeting.

"Hope Van Dyne, Wasp."

"Pepper Potts, Rescue. But I only go to battles when its an emergency."

"Deadpool. I look forward to decapitating every one of you. Kidding! Am I?"

"Yes you are." Carol said sighing.

"Party pooper." Deadpool sat back down huffing.

"Danny Rand, Iron Fist."

"Luke Cage, Power Man."

''Jessica Jones. Don't try anything funny with me. It won't end well for you."

"Matt Murdock, Daredevil."

"You already know me my old friends. But tis its I, Thor Odinson."

"Loki."

"You already know me but its Bruce Banner." Bruce gave a small wave.

"Where's that Spider guy?" Barton asked.

"Currently watching out for the little guy and the Guardians are space." Carol answered.

"Now that introductions are done and we all know each other's names. Let's get one thing clear." Carol continued.

"You'll be staying here for 3 years during those 3 years you are expected to find a job, and a place to live, the whole nine yards." Pepper said.

"Thats absurd!" Barton said.

"You also have to pay rent and buy your own groceries. The first three months you won't have to do any of that it would taken care of you but after three months its your responsibility. Before you start we do it too." Carol continued ignoring Barton.

"Now for your rules. Rule number 1: Dont go anywhere you are not supposed to. Rule 2: Don't cause trouble and we won't cause trouble. Rule 3: Keep your floor clean. That's about it." Carol finished.

"Now if you would go to the elevator. Your floor is 88 remember." Pepper waved to the elevator.

The Rogues slowly obeyed. Rogers lingered looking at Tony.

Tony's Pov...

I went down to my lab, Peter was working on his web shooters. I sat down next to him and ruffled his hair.

"How'd it go?" He asked not looking at me.

"Better than expected but still exhausting." I answered.

"Sucks. Want me to punch them and web them upside down from the tallest building in the city?" Peter suggested.

"Appreciated but no kid." I sighed, smiling.

"Alright...but the option is still on the table. Let me know and you can consider it done." Peter shrugged.

"Want to help me upgrade Rhodey's suit? He's been overdue for an upgrade." I said.

Rhodey has been overdue for an upgrade. He's been wearing the same suit since he got it. That needs to change.

"Is that even a question? Of course I do! I have these ideas on suit that we could do." Peter started going onto his ramble.

"Have you been waiting for me to upgrade his suit?" I asked.

"Yes I was. I can't believe you let your best friend stay in the same suit for all these years when you've upgraded mine, yours and even Pepper's but you just left poor Rhodey hanging." Peter shook his head in disappointment.

"Lets just get started. Let me see your ideas. F.R.I.D.A.Y let Rhodey know we're giving him an early birthday present." I said ignoring Peter's previous comment.

"He asked if he should be worried?" F.R.I.D.A.Y responded.

"No he shouldn't. He's going to love it." I replied making a 'why would you be worried?' face.

5 hours later we had finished. "Lets go give this to honey bear."

We made away to the elevator and to our floor. We exited and went to the living room. Luckily Rhodey was there.

"Tones."

"Sour Patch. The kid and I upgraded your suit. We've made it nano tech and added some new things as well." I grinned.

He maintained a neutral face for a minute before he smiled and said, "Finally! I thought you would leave me hanging for a second there. Thank you Tony. I appreciate it. You too kid."

"Its nothing." Peter spoke blushing from embarrassment.

I handed over the suit to Rhodey. I made it like a bracelet so he put on his wrist.

"When you want to use it. You double tap it." I explained.

Peter also explained the new stuff we added into the suit. Rhodey thanked us again and left.
