"destiny,don't stress if you don't get in,there's plenty of other schools that want you-"

"well i want this one."
she said persistently.
miles rolled his eyes.

"des,don't get your hopes up,u of miami is a hard school to get into.we don't want you to be mad if you don't-"

"i won't,i swear.i'm fine aaliyah."
she told her as they all stood in her room.

aaliyah nodded before embracing her into a big hug.
"okay,good luck."

destiny thanked her before the group all headed down the steps.

just as they descended down the staircase,they noticed the large array of green and orange balloons and decorations.

destiny gasped.
"what is this?"
she asked as she ran to her dad to engulfing him in a hug.

"we had it set up a few minutes ago,it's better to be safe than sorry,and even if you don't get in,you still tried."
be told her as she awed at these cake.

"okay okay,both of you.sit down and log in,i'm anxious."
jackie said as she lead her two kids to the kitchen island.

we all stood around them.waiting anxiously to see the results as they both logged in.

"remember,if you don't get in,it's perfectly fine.there's plenty of other schools-"

"love,i don't think this is the best time to doubt our beautiful children.they're both very intelligent,well at least one of them are."
darren joked looking at anthony.

the group chuckled.
"my gpa is just fine,thank you very much.i think i did pretty good this year if i do say so myself.i'm just above average this year."

"just above."
destiny chuckled making him frown as he kept typing.

"oh my gosh,what does it say,what does it say?"
jackie anticipated.

"mom,we didn't even open them yet,calm down,it's gonna be fine."
destiny told her,making her slightly calm down as she scrolled on her computer.

"okay,i'm gonna open it,i'm gonna open it."
destiny sighed,looking at anthony who held a scared look on his face.

"what's wrong?"
she wondered,looking his way.

"i don't wanna disappoint anybody if i don't get in.i just want you guys to know i tried really hard."
he told us.

"aww,my baby,it's okay."
jackie pouted as she walked over to her son,covering his face in kisses.

"mama."
he dragged making her chuckle before huggging him and stepping back.

"you wanna do it together?"
she asked him.
he sighed before nodding slowly,lacing their fingers together.
