Not again!

Chapter 8

A week later Wesley was in his quarters and had just put Rose down for her nap. Andrew and Jack were at the daycare so Wesley could relax a little.

"Captain to Lieutenant Crusher."

Wesley was a little surprised and confused at the same time.

"Lieutenant Crusher here."

"Come to the sickbay."

After hearing that Wesley knew that Josh is back from the mission and wasn't liking what it sounds like.

"I just got Rose down on her nap sir."

"I'm sorry Lieutenant Crusher but you need to be here."

"Alright. Give me a minute."

"Alright. Captain out."

So he sighed and went back to his room.

"Sorry sweetie. But you have to get up because somethings wrong and daddy has to be there." he said and put her on his hip and she started to cry.

"Shhh, when we get back you can go back to bed."

Then he headed to sickbay as told.

When he got there he saw Picard, Geordi and Dr. Allen standing in front of someone.

"Captain?" he said.

"Mr. Crusher." he said. "Come here."

So he did as told and froze when he saw Josh laying there in silence and not moving.

After seeing that he got a picture of the day he saw his dad dead causing him to start shaking.

Geordi could tell an anxiety attack was coming so he took Rose from Wesley and left the room.

Then as expected he started to have an anxiety attack.

"What happened?" he asked. "When did it happen? Is he gonna be ok?"

"Wesley, calm down!" Dr. Allen said.

It took them over an hour to get him to calm down even enough to let them finish.

Picard had him sit down.

"It's a repeat of my dad isn't it?!" Wesley yelled looking at him.

"We don't know yet. We're doing the best we can." Picard said.

Wesley sat there rubbing Josh's hand being the fighter he was aside from anxiety attacks and labor.

A few hours later he was laying in bed doing nothing. Robin had taken Andrew, Jack and Rose for him as usual.

"I'm gonna lose him like dad." he said and started crying.

While he cried he saw everything they did together from the day they met to the day before he left.

An hour later he was fast asleep.

Throughout the week Wesley was out of it so they had the kids go back to be with Beverly so Wesley could calm down.

He hadn't eaten much or left the sickbay.

He was asleep at the bed with his hand on Josh's hand.

Picard came to check on him and wasn't surprised Wesley was asleep.

He gently shook Wesley's shoulder getting him to wake up.

"Huh?

"Mr. Crusher."

"Yes sir? Did you need me at the bridge or engineering?"

"Wesley, you just had a baby barely a week ago and have two months until you get back to work."
