There had been an announcement on the discovery channel about a meteor shower that day and I had somehow convinced you to go along with me to stargaze. It was late on a Saturday night and there was a slight chill in the air. We had arrived at my favorite spot and as we sat next to each other in the grass, I took off my jacket and draped it over your shoulders. You snuggled close to me and I put my arm around your waist as I pointed out the stunning constellations. I nuzzled you close and I whispered in your ear,
"The stars are beautiful, but your are far more beautiful than they will ever be."
You giggled at my cheesy line as I kissed the tip of your nose. I knew you could beat me at coming up with pick up lines anytime and any day. I stared at the sky and pointed out all the streaks across the sky, but I noticed you were not looking at the sky but instead at me. I turned to you with a joking smile and asked, "What, is there something on my face?" You smiled at me with that contagious smile of yours and under the stars and in the grass, you gazed up at the sky before looking at me again and said,
"I look at you and you're so amazing, it's like you put these stars in the sky. Being next to you, I am so completely ordinary."
Those were the things you said under the stars and in the grass.
