A/N: THANKS SO MUCH FOR READING THIS FAR! THE PIC AT THE TOP IS OF ACTUAL ANCIENT EGYPTIAN HIEROGLYPHICS!

I returned with my work and set it down on the table, Ahk immediately sitting up and looking at the few books I had in my hand. He was in his usual attire that he'd wear at the museum and it didn't make my feelings for him change one bit. I think he looked rather hot. It made him more... authoritative.

"Are these the books your college gave you to learn from?" He asked, clearly unimpressed at what he was seeing.

"Y...yeah." I replied shortly and quietly, my voice as gentle as a feather.

"Don't worry. I'll help you get this done my love." He said smoothly. "What do you have to do for your project?"

"Well um...We have to state their origin, draw some of them and write about what the difference is between modern day and ancient ones." I said back shyly, taking a sip of my drink. "Do you want a drink?" I asked him.

"Sure thing. If you don't mind that is?" He smiled at me.

"It's not a problem. What drink do you want. We have different fizzy drinks, water, milk, fruit juice or homemade lemonade." I offered him.

"What are you drinking?" He asked back smoothly.

"Me? I have a Coca-Cola. Do you want one of them?" I smiled sweetly.

"Please my sweet." He said with a soft smile. I grabbed another cola and gave it to him. "Nicky brings these in all the time. They're my favourite. Anyways, let's get this project sorted." He commented, taking a mouthful.

TIMESKIP

After an hour of work, me and Ahkmenrah finally finished the poster and it turned out way better than I had expected it to if I was doing it alone. Ahk had taken my gold coloured pen and drawn intricate ancient Hieroglyphics around the outside of the paper as a boarder and also outlined my title for added affect. He told me everything I needed to know and more that would certainly impress my teacher. He'd also written the Hieroglyphic alphabet and the translation to the modern alphabet down the side of the paper next to the boarder.

"Ahk I....I can't thank you enough." I said, almost on the verge of tears."

"Anything for you. It's very late though my zahrat baladay alsahra'. Aren't you tired yet?" He asked softly with a small smirk. He called me his desert flower.

"A little bit." I admitted. "But there's a TV show I watch before going to bed. It's a David Attenborough thing." I said shyly and with embarrassment.

"Don't be embarrassed my dear. I love David. So wise and full of knowledge." He said, joining me on the sofa. He sat next to me as I turned on the TV. It had just begun and was at the opening part.

"Ahkmenrah. What happened at the museum last night?" I asked softly.

"I'm not quite sure but from what I pieced together when Larry and I found you, it seemed that you had gotten lost after finding Rexy out back by the bins and tripped, falling down the stairs. Rex came to get us and I found you laid at the bottom of a small flight of stairs, unresponsive. Honestly at first I thought you were dead. So I picked you up and carried you back to my exhibit where it's warm and as I laid you on the floor gently, you stopped breathing and your heart stopped too. I was the one who saved you. Your brother and dad were in too much shock. I was too but in situations like that, I know how and when to compose myself." He said, bringing his hand to brush some hair behind my ear. I must have flinched significantly for the young Pharaoh to lower his hand and his face turn to that of heartbreak and understanding. "Whoever he was. He hurt you didn't he? Badly." Ahk said with understanding. I nodded.

"It happened every night for months. He'd go out drunk, come back, hit me...throw me about.....took a belt to me. I escaped one night when he forgot to lock the doors and set the alarms. I called my dad to come get me and told him everything. He told me that as much as he wanted to go and kill my ex, he would leave it for the one who really loves me to do so." I smiled softly before returning to the programme. Ahk sighed softly and give me a reassuring smile before he also focussed back on the TV.

I don't know how much of it I watched but at one point when Ahk was very intrigued about the Blue Whale, I took the opportunity to get comfortable, leaning against the arm of the sofa and falling asleep. I felt a velvet like material being draped over me as I shivered slightly.

"Goodnight my dear one." Ahk said to me softly. And in my barely conscious state, I did something I never thought would happen.

"Goodnight fireuni alshijae."

A FEW HOURS LATER

AHKMENRAH'S POV:

It was her. Larry's daughter. It had to be. After she told me about her past, it all added up. The fact she was the only woman I had ever referred to as 'my desert flower' and the sudden protective wave that washed over me. It took me a while to figure it out but it did eventually click. And when I spoke to Larry first about it, he understood and actually said that I would be the perfect one for Chelsea. Strange coming from a father I know. But I promised him I would never hurt her. And what with her also being immortal as well. Ah yes, I forgot to mention that when I gave her the rescue breaths, a part of my soul gave life back to her which meant once revived, she would age no more and we could live forever without getting old. But if one of us were to die, it would cause the Tablet to mould, causing torturous pain that would be unimaginable. I noticed her shiver slightly so I unclasped my robe which sat around my shoulders and laid it over her body, smiling at the fact she nuzzled into it and stopped shivering. It warmed my heart.

The hours ticked by and I decided it was best to move Chelsea into her bed so that she would be more comfortable. So stood up and carefully picked her up bridal style in my arms, carrying her to her room (it wasn't hard to find with the photos of horses on her door whereas Nick's said 'Boys Zone - Keep Out). I used my elbow to carefully push the handle of the door down and then carried her through, laying her on the bed that sat neatly made in the corner against the wall. I used my leg to support her legs whilst I pulled back the covers before using both arms again to lay her down gently, resting her head on the pillows and then replacing my robe for the covers. I then braved it and pressed a kiss to the corner of her mouth. She gave a small smile as I stroked her hair back out of her face before turning off her light and closing the door quietly. Larry was waiting for me in the kitchen. I hadn't even heard him return.

"Ready?" He asked me.

"Yes. Thank you for this Larry." I smiled sadly before following him out and back to the museum
