Kicker's pov***

I am talking to Thrasher in the bar as we watch Badger and Sidekick laughing and talking about something amongst themselves.

They have been pushing the limits of my patience lately. We don't allow abuse to women and children. I have been told that they are getting a little rough with a few of the whores that hang around the clubhouse.

We deal in guns and casinos. Not roughing up the weaker people. That's left to the Crazy Wolves, aka Loco Lobos.

Thrasher starts to say something when my phone rings. "Yeah?! What's up Snake?"

"I need to talk to you away from the office. Can you meet me in Cranston?" He sounds upset.

"Is it so important that I need to come to you?" I ask.

"You know damn well that I wouldn't ask unless it was life or death important!" Now I hear the strain in his voice.

"Give me ten minutes." I tell him after he gave me the address. I put it into my phone's map. I stand. "I'm needed in Cranston. Snake said it is life or death important. Wanna ride?" I ask Thrasher.

"Yeah. What's so important though? Why Cranston?" He asks as we get to the bikes.

"Don't know. He does have a daughter there." We mount up and ride the ten minutes to the address that Snake gave me. Thrasher is Snake's nephew. I'm not surprised that he doesn't know about Kassandra. Only myself and Marie knows of his first family.

My dad found him in jail. They were cell mates. When he got the divorce papers, he wasn't worried about missing his wife. It was Kassandra that he worried about. He still carries a picture of her. It was taken when she was five years old. Just before he went to jail. Dad pulled him to the club when he got out. Then Chris Reynolds became Snake and married my aunt's friend.

We pull up to the apartment that Snake is at. He answers my knock. I also noticed a few neighbors lookin through their blinds. None were brave enough to open their doors.

"She's been beat up. Please have patience with her." He whispers. "It is my sweet Kassie." Then he steps back to let us in.

I see a small figure standing half hidden in a doorway. Long black hair hangs down to where I imagine her hips are. A baggy tshirt and pj pants.

"Kassie, sweetie, you can come out. This is Kicker, my prez." Snake points to me. "And this is Thrasher, he is your cousin. His dad and I were brothers." Snake points at Thrasher as he tries to talk in a soothing tone.

"Hey Kassie! It is nice to meet you!" Thrasher holds out his hand for a shake.

She slowly comes to stand beside her father and extends her hand. I see bruises on her wrist. Then she lifts her head and I see her battered face. I am instantly pissed!

I hold out my hand, palm up. Kassandra puts her hand in mine and it is so small. I close my fingers over hers. "A pleasure to finally meet you, Kassandra. I have heard about you since I've known your dad." Her light hazel eyes look at me. "I want you to know that you are safe now. You are under our protection. You are one of us now. Can we sit and you tell us what happened to you?"

Her hand starts shaking. "No need to be scared sweet Kassie. They need to know the facts. That's all." Snake told his daughter.

I never took my eyes off of her. I let her see what nobody else has ever seen in my eyes. My true feelings. I want to protect this little pixie. I always get what I want.

Pixie looked at her dad. "I can pay four- fifty today. I promise to get the rest. I can sell everything! A tv, my computer, my laptop, my plasma! I just need them to stay away! And a couple weeks. Please!" She looks from Snake to me.
