I head down the stairs with invitations in my hand and see Mila on the couch]
Mila- Where are you going?
Me- I'm going to hand out invitations for Julia's surprise party next week.
Mila- Ooh, can I come with? I have nothing to do..
Me- You don't have a date with Jake for once?
[She glares at me jokingly as I laugh]
Me- Mom, Mila and I are going out!
Mom- Alright! Don't be out too late!
Me- Okay!
[Mila gets up from the couch and we head out the front door]
Mila- So, who are you inviting?
Me- You, obviously. The guys and some of our friends from school. I sent their invitations through text. I also invited Cole's girl best friend-
Mila- What?! Why?!
Me- She dropped him after we broke up.
Mila- Okay..
Me- The one thing is Julia doesn't know her so I was planning to hang out with them both.
Mila- And now with me as well!
Me- Obviously.
Mila- Can we go to Jake's house first?
Me- Fine.
Mila- Yay!
[She leads the way since she knows where he lives. We soon arrive and she knocks on the door. We hear footsteps come to the door. The door swings open and we see Jake's mom]
Mila- Hi, Mrs. Slack.
Mrs. Slack- Hello, Mila. Who's this?
Mila- This is my sister, Angie.
Me- Hi, it's nice to meet you.
Mrs. Slack- Nice to meet you, too. I'll go get Jake.
[She turns around and heads up the stairs. Soon, we see Jake rush down the steps. He comes over to the door and Mila and him are beaming at each other]
Mila- Hi, Jake.
Jake- Hey.
[Mila giggles and Jake smiles at her]
Me- Hi, Jake.
Jake- Oh, hey, Angie. I didn't see you there..
Me- You guys do realize that I'm the reason you're together, right?
