"For a Year" is a gift to everyone who has read, voted and commented on the Greatest Thief series! I can't thank everyone personally, but I really appreciate all of the love Finn and Tannix are recieving!
To everyone who comments — huge thank you! I love hearing your thoughts, seeing predictions and answering questions (I could talk about these characters and this world for hours if there were people interested enough to listen!)
To everyone who votes on every chapter — I recognize your usernames and I'm so glad when I see those familiar notifications pop up! Thank you for showing these books some love!
And to everyone who quietly reads — Another thank you! It's amazing that so many people are enjoying following the story.
Now on to the author's note part of this chapter.
While 'For a Year' does take place between book one and two, I strongly suggest reading it after you have finished 'An Aimless War'. It was written to be sort of a prequel to AAW, and provide new insight into some of the events or things that Finn learns about. Because of that, reveals and plot points in an AAW will be more effective if you haven't read 'For a Year' yet.
Also vice versa, there may be some lines or references in 'For a Year' that won't mean as much without having read AAW first!
But I know some people prefer to read in chronological order, and if that's what you like, go ahead!
Despite what order you're reading these books in, I hope you enjoy this look at what Tannix (and Baisan) is doing while Finn's in prison.
