The rooster named Carl

The Plan

 Their plan was not very long; it was to run over the big gates at the front of the farm and if it was not open just wait until one of the big things with wheels left the farm (when this happens the humans open the gates).

 So as you can imagine the chickens were not able to run over the gates and so the chickens waited until somebody finally left. They all ran out on the large road and followed it. They did not really know where to head so they all just followed Carl. Carl also did not know where to go so he just ran down the big black path. After some rights and lefts they ended up at some very big gate. Carl found a way in and told the other chickens about it. Finally all the chickens were inside the big place. They did not know what it was. They saw all these weird creatures so the chickens decided to split up to cover more land. So every chicken split up. Most of the chickens had pairs but Carl did not; he wanted to go on his own. As he traveled through he saw an orange thing that growled at him, a very colorful thing that sat on a branch, and a big thing with a long nose. By now Carl was very tired and needed to sit down so he sat at the edge of a big pit with water in the bottom. Suddenly a great gray thing jumped out of the water and said "Hello my name Manny and ima seal I am very bored here in this zoo what kinda animal are you" but he said this all very quickly and Carl did not understand. But finally after a while of talking Carl had found out that he was in a place called a zoo and that the great gray thing was a seal named Manny who was very lonely and glad to meet Carl. Finally Carl had to leave to round up the other chickens. He said bye to Manny and found the other chickens. All the chickens agreed that they were hungry and all wanted to go home so they did. They had a very nice meal. That night Carl lay on his hay stack and thought about all the things that had happened that day. He was very glad that he met Manny and could not wait to tell the other animals for the chickens had gotten back late and the other animals were all asleep.
