Chapter 9: Go on a Date with Me?

Omg I cant believe I forgot the Seijoh practise match... whoops.

Lily pov:

I was in maths class doing equations with Kageyama but he seemed off, he kept zoning out and he looked really out of it.

"Hey Kageyama" I said trying to get his attention.

There was no response and so I tapped him on the shoulder, which made him jump and look at me.

"Are you okay?" I asked being worried.

"Yeah I'm fine" he answered.

"Okay" I said before going back to my work.

Kageyama pov:

Will she even say yes? She probably doesnt like me anyways. What if she says no? Will it be awkward for us or wi-

The bell went which snapped me out of my thoughts, I packed my things up and walked out of class. I need to see Suga. I texted Sugawara to meet by the gym, once I got to the gym I paced back and forth waiting for him.

"You dont look so good" a voice said from behind me.

"Suga thank god your here" I said turning around.

"Are you okay?" He said with a worried look.

"No I'm freaking out and I'm worried what If she says no? What if I'm not good enough for her? Wh-" I was rambling on so much that Suga interrupted me.

"Stop you need to relax and think of the positive" Suga said in a calming voice.

"Okay" I said taking a couple of breaths.

"Good" he simply said.

"I need your help Sugawara" I said.

"I can see that" he says.

"I'm afraid of what she's going to say" I said sitting down and putting my head in my hands.

"Its okay to feel that way but you need to ask her before shes with another man" Suga says.

"Yeah I know" I mumbled.

"I know you can do it" Suga said in an encouraging tone.

"Thanks" I said.

"Now go be with your soon to be girl" Suga said patting my back.

"Yeah" I said standing up.

"See you at practice" Sugawara says waving.

"Yeah see you at practise and thank you again I owe you one" I said giving a short wave.

Timeskip...

Lily pov:

I was walking to the gym while thinking about Kageyama, when two boys interrupted my thoughts by running past me and banged into me making me fall on my butt. I sighed and brushed my skirt off, I look up and saw Kageyama standing there with his hand out towards me.

"Need a hand?" He asked.

"Yes thank you" I answered still annoyed.

"What happened?" He asks.

"Just two boys running past me and banged into me making me fall backwards" I explained.

"Oh" he says.

"Let's go before we're late" I said.

"Yeah I dont want to get yelled at" Kageyama says.

We got to the gym and went our separate ways, I went to go stand by the coach and Kageyama went to go warm up.

"Let's work on serves and receives" the coach shouted.

Everyone nodded and got into their positions on the court, half of them served and the other half received. They switched their rolls and after some time they stop to have a break.

"That's enough for today" the coach says.

They all fell to the ground and were breathing heavily, Kiyoko was handing bottles out to everyone while I went straight to Kageyama who was standing with his hands on his knees and hunch over.

"Here" I softly said putting my hand on his back.

"T- thanks" he breathlessly says taking it.

"No problem" I said.

Timeskip...

"Bye Lily bye Kageyama" they said.

"Bye guys" we both said.

Me and Kageyama walk the opposite way then the others, it was quiet between the two of us as we walked down the path. It was so quiet that you could hear the crickets and bugs. We stopped by my house and Kageyama stood infront of me.

"Hey Lily" he says.

"Yeah" I said.

"I wanted to ask of you um- if you- if you'd go on a date with me?" He stuttered.

I stood there in shock, I couldn't believe he just said that.

"Yes" I simply said.

"Really!?" He says.

"Of course" I said.

"Okay then I'll text you the details later" he says walking off.

"Okay goodnight Kageyama" I said giggling.

"Goodnight Lily" he replied.

I walked inside and giggled out of excitement.

I can't believe Kageyama asked me out...
