Chapter 1: The G-mail mistake

Maddy's P.O.V. :

I had been sitting on the computer for hours finishing my assignments and had to just submit it on my school's G-mail account, all my books and printed notes (all very colorful by the highlighting) were scattered on my study table. Just then my room's door opened and my very much annoying sister, Kendra, came in.

"You must have the manners to knock before entering someone's room. "I spat out at Kendra's face. "Don't worry I will try to do next time anyway I just came here to get your charger." she said with an annoying face. "Here take it and now get lost from my room," I replied while giving her the charger. "By the way you got a notification in your mail" she said with a grin on her face and slammed the door.

"That little ..." I said as I turned back to check the notification. It was a g-mail hangout invitation from... Jacob Black? 

Did I know him? Does he have a crush on me? Is he even living in Forks?  All these questions ran in my mind at once and I started day-dreaming about how a guy may start to like me (usual habit) but I was more of a you know 'Boy-Best Friend who may take love advice from me' type of girl. Just as I stopped day-dreaming I noticed that I had clicked on accept invite button.

I quickly typed  'I am so sorry for accepting the invite. It just happened by mistake.'

I got a quick response: 'It's totally fine anyway, I just sent it to you by mistake.'

Jacob's P.O.V. :

10 minutes before messaging Maddy:

Dad enters my room, "You know you have sat here for a pretty long ti-" I close my laptop.

 "You don't need to hide anything from me...plus I saw you looking at a girl in your school and I definitely know that you want to send her an invite to talk to her now right, I would say stop overthinking and just message her already." Dad said. 

I was shocked!!! "No dad it is nothing like that." I quickly replied.

"Oh really then show me your laptop?" Dad said with a smirk on his face.

"Dad nothing I am coming out for dinner now bye..." I said before dad could open my laptop and see.

"Ok I am going down for dinner" Dad replied moving wheel chair out of my room.

I picked up all my courage and just clicked on the hang out button.

I was about to shut down the laptop when I got a notification

 'I am so sorry for accepting the invite. It just happened by mistake.'

I wrote in a response: 'It's totally fine anyway, I just sent it to you by mistake.'

My heart broke and it was suddenly filled with sadness.

*Time skip*

Maddy's P.O.V. :

The cold breeze of winter was right on my face, that's when I woke up to my opened window, it was white the cold landscape made me shiver and I just hugged my blanket even more. That is when I looked at my alarm clock and it flashed '6:05'. "Oh no I am going to be late for my first day of the week!!" I muttered to myself and ran with my bathrobe to the bathroom.

I did my morning routine in a hurry which included: taking a bath, changing clothes and eating breakfast and obviously packing my small back pack.

I took my bag, hugged my mom and ran towards my Cousin's car. It may seem weird as to why I am going in my cousin's car is because my dad is busy all the time working.

"Are you going to hurry up or make everyone late?" my cousin Justin called from his car.

I got in the car and put my airpods on so Kendra would not disturb me.

We reached school and it was already 6:58, I got off running and was in the hallway when I bumped into someone and my bag fall down. I looked down to pick my bag up and spoke to the person.

"I am really sorry, I am just in a hurry to get to class," I spoke gently to them still not looking at them.

"Its ok really I just had a spare period so I am not in a hurry." the Husky voice said but I did not dare look up and just made my way to the class.

The teacher was not in class, wondering she went to bathroom I quickly grabbed my opportunity and sat down at an empty chair.

The chair next to me had a bag on it, that is when I saw my friend Lily one row in front of me. I waved at her but she was too busy talking to her boyfriend that I didn't wave a second time. I knew how much she loved her boyfriend and let them be. The principle entered the class and started saying:

"Well as the teacher is on leave for today you can all have a spare lesson."

A spare lesson the first thing in school? I relaxed and took out my sketchpad to draw that is when I heard a very familiar Husky voice from beside me.
