Chapter 2: Friends? Friends...

Note:

1. Jacob is also going to Fork High with his friends and,

2.  I know Jacob became a werewolf two years later but I changed it in this story.

A/N

Jacob's P.O.V. :

I came back in the classroom after grabbing my next lesson's textbooks. I sat down and rested my head on my hands and started looking around.

The girl next to me seemed to be focused on her drawing. That is when I noticed a tattoo of the letter 'M' on her hand and realized that it is Maddy.

I spoke up after looking at her drawing on a beautiful landscape, "It is beautiful."

When she looked up at me, it was the first time we were this close and something weird happened: Her eyes met mine and suddenly my whole world changed and I felt as if I was not held to the ground by gravity but by her. I felt as if I was obliged to be with her and protect her.

SHE IS MY IMPRINT!!!! 

She snapped her fingers at me and I got a better look at her features. She had clear blue eyes, peach-pink lips and a body which made me feel to grab her waist.

"Are you ok? I think you should go to Madam Pomfrey's clinic down the sec-"

"No no I am fine just some morning sickness you know all normal"

She let out a small chuckle and continued her business. 

"Do you go to the art club?" I asked making an attempt to start a conversation by just appreciating her skills. 

Maddy's P.O.V. : 

The boy looked pretty much distracted and so I thought to mind my own business.

"Do you go to the art club?"

"Huh-me?"

"Well if you are the one with the cool artistic drawings then yep!"

I chucked and replied "Yea I don't only go to the art club but I am pretty much the co-president of that club as well"

"Cool!" 

Is it just me or did it seem as if this boy is into me?

"Anyway my name is Maddy, Maddy Miller" I say raising my hand for a handshake so it would not get awkward for anyone of us.

"Jacob, Jacob black" 

Oh so he was the one who messaged me BY MISTAKE yesterday...

There was an awkward silence in between us, until he spoke up.

"Oh so you are Maddy, the famous basketball player?"

"Yes and also the girl whom I suppose you sent an invite to yester-"

"Oh about that I am really sorry I did not know and it was an accident." His face had a very sad and guilty look. I could not help but feel a smile make way to my face.

"Don't worry about it, Umm hey how about we become friends?"

"Friends?"

"Friends..."

I took his hand and shaked it very firmly. Just as I was about to say anything the bell rang and I quickly got up and left the class as I had to get my books.

*Time Skip*

At last the lunch bell, I was practically running so me and my beast friend, Claire, would not have to join the cheerleading table. Even tough I was good enough for cheerleading my love for basketball made me join the team. We spotted a table at the far end table and were about to sit there when a group of boys came and sat there. One of the boys was Jacob so I waved to him to which he waved back and gestured me to come sit with them. I could hear noise coming from the cheerleading table, I ignored it and made my way to their table.

"Here you can sit here" Jacob said as we came near to their table.

"Thanks, we would not bother you but me and my friend here: Claire could not find any table."

"Well you considered me a friend so why be so formal?"

I chuckled at his response "Well I already introduced my friend, so I think it will be fair enough if you do the same?" I asked looking at two boys sitting at the right and left of Jacob.

"Embry Call and Quil Ateara V" He said pointing one by one.

"Nice to meet you, I am Maddy...Maddy Miller"

Quil started speaking right after I said my name "Oh so you are Maddy the girl whom Ja-"

Jacob interjected and spat "Maddy the girl whom I said is a brilliant basketball player!"

"Oh thanks"

Jacob was giving death glares to Quil. As I was a Potterhead so the only thing I imagined during free times was about Harry Potter books. Yes books, as I prefer books more than movies. This time how ever I was thinking about the marauders and their very strong friendship.

"You okay?" Claire whispered/mumbled to me.

"Oh yes just nothing...you know what I am thinking about" I say with a big smirk.

She nudges me with her elbow and we start laughing.

Quil askes with a perplexed face "What is it with the giggles?"

"Nothing" Me and Claire reply in unison.

The bell rings and I take my bag to head to class.

Jacob's P.O.V. :

Like why did Quil have to expose me and I have a feeling it might not be the last time, so I gave him death glares. Maddy was day dreaming again... It looked like she was staring at the Cullen's table.

I heard her friend whisper something to her  to which she whispered back and smirked, my heart made me feel as if she had a crush on the Cullen boy. That is when Quil decided to speak up.

"What is it with the giggles?"

"Nothing" Maddy and Claire reply in unison.

The bell rings and I see Maddy take her bag to head to her class. I wish I have the same class as her!
