There lived a man, Once.
Hard lines etched across his face, eyes cold to wither the brightest day, a permanent frown on his face
A reminder that life is unforgiving.
And oh, was it cruel.
You see, the man loved once, married once, to a beautiful fierce and unwavering woman.
But she was taken from him.
His last shred of happiness leeched taken as soon as it was given.
His love. His wife. They had a child.
A child who the man loved with all that was left of his heart— he was unprepared for.The man was wealthy.
Wore fine tailored suits. Polished shoes. With a pin on his tie.
You might mistake him a business man.
Not an honest one, but a businessman nonetheless.No.
He was...
He is a thief, a con man, a murderer.
He didn't just take lives.
He ruined them.
Piece by piece, until there is nothing left.
The man is monster.
He knows it.
But he is still just a man.
He was a lover, a father too.
It didn't absolve him of his sins.
Just made it worse so to say.He was young,
But life didn't separate the sinners from the saints and it certainly didn't differentiate between the young and the old.It did not bother to see the good and the bad.
The man had a child
Innocent, clean and pure
His antithesis. He never believed in God
But prayed each night that his son wouldn't become him.Oh, how he hoped that his child would take after his mother.
The strong-willed woman
Who died for naught. The anger he kept inside.
Never to be seen by his son
It festered and decayed his broken heart.Till blood seeped through.
He walked down street.
Black coat,
Black gloves
Black hat.A dark spot against the pale backdrop of winter.
A black hole
Consuming
Until there's nothing left.
