RULES

I'm a Creative Writing major at Columbia University so I've got a bit of experience doing this and I like the idea of honing my skills.

How it works: you send me a direct message, I decide whether or not to take on your work, and you make the payment upfront before the review is completed.

In ONE Direct Message (please don't bombard me with a ton of messages) include:

1. Title

2. Genre (Non-fiction, fantasy, dark academia, etc)

3. A pitch for your story (SHORT PARAGRAPH). A pitch is a description of what the plot of the story is. Do not send me part of the story as the pitch, if you do I won't continue reading the DM.

4. What you want me to review specifically. ONLY ONE: overall, plotline, characters, writing style, grammar, etc

5. How many chapters you want me to read (my max is 7 for the time being and it should go without saying that they would have to be published chapters).

6. The level you want of review

            - EASY: I read it once and give you an overall commentary on what I thought about the story

            - MEDIUM: I give it a second read and give you a more detailed review

           - HARD: I tear into it and find all the things that don't work and help you find ways to fix them. This means in-line commentary throughout the chapters you want reviewed, with what I think does or doesn't work. (DISCLAIMER: this will likely come off as MEAN if you can't take constructive criticism, so keep that in mind when you make your decision. I do not intend to be mean, in fact, I will always highlight the positive things about the story before I get into the nitty-gritty details of what doesn't work. I'm here to help you grow as a writer and the only way to do that is to tear the story down to build it back up again.) 

7. The link to your story

Reviews are time-consuming, so let's go over the payment. IT IS DONE UPFRONT.

1. You add this book to a public reading list

2. Depending on the level you choose, this is what you need to do:

For the EASY level: The number of chapters you want me to review of your story is the same amount of chapters I want you to read and vote of mine (1:1). This does NOT include the Author's Note that comes after the Prologue. Leaving a comment is a plus but not necessary. This means that if you want me to look at 1 chapter, you read and vote for 1 chapter of my story, review of 2 is 2 chapters of mine, same for 3, 4 etc.

For the MEDIUM level: Vote and comment on the same amount of chapters I'm reviewing + 1 extra one

For the HARD level: Vote and comment on the same amount of chapters I'm reviewing + 3 extra ones

If I really like your story, I'll add the review and the link to your story as a new "chapter" of this book, dedicate the page to you and add it to one of my reading lists.

To make sure you read the rules, I want you to include the word cherry as the 8th addition to the DM you send me. I will not reply to DMs that do not have the password.

The reviews take time so be patient and it would be great if after you've read the review, you could leave me a comment below as a review of my services. If it helped or if it didn't, I want to know. It would be greatly appreciated.

If you post the link to your story in the comments, I WILL delete it and put you on the no-review list. Don't test me.
