Chapter 01
LOVE IS LIKE A DRUG

SUNG JIN-WOO WAS ONLY AN E-RANK hunter; granting him the automatic title of 'The World's Weakest Hunter.' Why? It's because his abilities were barely even noticeable from the average person. If you took away his slightly accelerated healing rate, they would classify him as a non-Hunter.

Many people would constantly ridicule him for it, there were times that he came close to losing his life and the pay was disappointing for such a laborious job.

But since the Hunter Association paid for his mother's medical bills, he thought of it as completely fine to keep being a hunter. Even if he was given another job, he would never quit his position.

But why? Why would the weak Sung Jin-Woo risk his life everyday over anything else?

Jin-Woo's house was quite a distance from a very specific cafe he frequented. But luckily, it was never too far away from most of the dungeons he raids. So whenever he finishes work, he would visit that place for a fresh hot cup of coffee.

"Hello, Jin-Woo. Do you want your usual order?" a warm voice greeted his arrival, alongside the chime of bells hung on the glass door. It was a friend he met in school when he was younger. Just one year older than him was the man named (L/n) (M/n).

His voice was the perfect kind that Jin-Woo enjoyed listening to. Each word from him sounded reliable and sincere, although he spoke in a quiet tone.

(M/n) was already the height of 6'0 feet tall, just good enough that Jin-Woo's head could reach his shoulders. He liked to put on neat (h/c) hair paired with two modest (e/c) eyes. He wore a white T-shirt with a spruce blue apron on top of it as a uniform.

Sometimes, Jin-Woo wondered what he did to meet such a nice, caring and handsome guy like him.

Jin-Woo sat in his usual seat and listened to (M/n)'s casual humming. It was a sunny tune, quite catchy, as Jin-Woo kept thinking of it.

"Here you are." (M/n)'s (s/c) hand held a medium-sized cup filled to the brim with black coffee. Jin-Woo preferred paper cups instead of the glass ones, mostly because he could take it home and fawn over how (M/n) touched it.

"Sung Jin-Woo. You'll burn your tongue."

The ebony-haired male flinched, too busy thinking to even notice the man leaning over his shoulder. (L/n) (M/n) grabbed the edge of the paper cup, gently blowing cool air over it before the rim could touch Jin-Woo's lips.

He survived much hotter experiences, involving fire breathing monsters and near-death experiences. But he kept silent, just because he liked seeing (M/n) get closer.

"There you go." He smiled, leaving Jin-Woo in a daze as he held the fresh cup of coffee. (M/n) pulled the chair from the table across from Jin-Woo, sitting down for a light chat with him. "Shouldn't you be going home now? It's getting pretty late."

"You've asked me that yesterday," Jin-Woo murmured, sipping on his drink as (M/n) sighed. "I ask you that every day," the (h/c) haired man responded, stretching his arms as he took off his apron. "You're the only one that orders coffee this late."

'I order coffee just to see you.'

"I was wondering. Why did you open a cafe? You have other job offers that pay much better," Jin-Woo questioned, placing the small size cup on the round table to look at (M/n). The warm colors of the sunset peeked through the glass windows of the modern cafe, falling on his senior's delicate features.
