God damnit.
Yongha was just trying to get back to the house before midnight, a rule set in place by the leader of the group. The universe, however, decided to get him in trouble again, it being past 11pm and he wasn't even in sight of the fence. He had been on a run for a few hours longer than he was supposed to, even getting a text from Daehyeon asking him where the hell he was. It wasn't that he hasn't been able to go outside much, it was just this particular night, the air felt nice and cold, it was probably going to rain later. It was perfect to walk around and observe humans go about their normal, or possibly not, lives.
He was late though, so he had to run quickly without making too much noise, it being the middle of the night, and he looked suspicious even without his glowing eyes. His half sprinting allowed him to reach the fence a lot faster, so he took a quick breather and checked the time.
00:13 what the hell-
"You're late again, Yongha."
The sudden voice made the man jump, quickly looking up to meet eyes with Daehyeon, the other three trailing behind him. They all looked bored, having to be dragged out here just to make sure Yongha wasn't being dumb again. The other times he had been late were due to him getting a random piercing or people watching for too long.
"Ugh, i was just gonna get going, but now since you guys are out here, what do you think of my new phone case? I saw it and thought it looked pretty sick." he grinned while holding up his phone, a new red case with puffy glitter stickers all over being slightly visible in the dark. A short giggle came from the group, most likely coming from Yohan as he was covering his mouth with his gloved hands. Donghan, who was right next to him, quickly hit him over the head while trying to maintain his own smile.
"Will you two shut up?... my god, this is why you're late?" the leader said in a hushed whisper, the air turning white around his face from the cool weather. The younger shyly put his phone away, knowing that it wasn't the best thing to show them, but at least they got a small laugh out of his odd purchase. He grabbed onto the metal fence and started climbing, not really caring about how loud he was as the fence was only a foot taller than him and wouldn't take too long to climb.
He was just reaching the top when a sudden sound pierced the silent night. A ringing sound, coming from the left of him. He whipped his head to see what it was and caught a good look at what seemed to be a kid trying to turn off the alarm on his phone. That kid had probably been watching him and was trying to hide behind the wall as if he wasn't already caught.
Wow... what an idiot.
Yongha jumped down to the other side of the fence, taking the suddenly open space that was once taken by Donghan, who had already vanished. A little thud sound could be heard along with some words, but they already knew what to do and didn't bother looking. The sound of running footsteps echoed as this dumb kid ran away from him, as they neared the fence the group didn't move a muscle and kept still, watching. Waiting. The kid came into view, probably an older teenager who didn't have a chance to change out of his school clothes, he was wearing all black with a black face mask as well. He froze, staring right back into their eyes with a well known fear. Daehyeon went forward a little bit, but the kid suddenly started running again, straight into the building in front of them. The leader let out a sigh and turned to face them.
