Cas looks at me with a worried expression. Did I just say that out loud? I am such an idiot. "What is it, y/n?"
I sat down by Cas, almost hyperventilating. I couldn't control myself or the words that came out of my mouth. I just wanted to kill myself at this point. I was pulling at my hair. "I'm gay. Why, why am I like this, Castiel? It's fine, I support it and all but why me? Why ME?"
"Hey, hey! Calm down, okay? It's fine, I'm gay too and look how well I'm doing." He gently pulled my hands away from my scalp, trying to prevent me from hurting myself. He held my wrists in his hands, wanting me to know that I was okay. But my face washed over with confusion.
"Wait, what? I thought you liked women, they're always in your cabin. I've never seen you bring a guy here." I pulled my hands away, knitting my eyebrows. Everything I ever thought I knew about Cas was going down the drain.
"It's the end of the world, women are all that's left here." He laughed, scoffing a bit.
"Ha, well, I guess that's true." I smiled softly. I slowly looked into Castiel's loving eyes. He smiled back with warmth.
"I know you like me, y/n. Remember, I don't have all my grace but I can still use a little willpower to do some things like say, dreamwalk." He smirked knowingly. My face turned red as I realized what he was referring to. Well, fuck.
"So that was you in my dream? Like you, you?" I became flustered, remembering the events that took place in said dream.
"Yeah, I knew you felt something for me. I had to let you realize it too." His smile turned soft and caring. I looked down and really felt my desire for Cas. I needed this, I have never felt this way about someone. I looked back up to him with determination.
"Cas, I need you." I hugged him tightly with tears in my eyes. "Thank you, Cas."
I pulled back and started helping him clean the guns. I couldn't believe what just happened. Does Cas like me back? Of course he does, or else he wouldn't have done what he did in my dream. This is insane, Cas really likes me back. I don't really know what to say or feel but I do know one thing. I'm never letting him go.
As we finished up, I said goodbye and went to my trailer to get some food for the road, not knowing Cas was trailing behind me. He grabbed my wrist, making me look back at him. He was beautiful and I still couldn't believe he was interested in someone like me. I guess everyone has someone after all.
"Y/n, you wanna come over for dinner after the gas run?" Cas asked, a bit shy. I've never seen this side of him. He was always so bold and flirtatious. It made my heart flutter. This was really happening. Fuck, this was actually happening. And you know what? I don't give a damn what Dean thinks anymore. I love Cas and I need him.
"Sure, are you driving today or am I?" I asked as we approached the car. l knew I was probably gonna have to drive like usual. At least Cas is just stoned, not tripping on shrooms or anything.
"You're definitely driving." Cas laughs. Smiling, I hopped in the driver's seat of the Jeep as Cas finished packing the ammo.
"Hey! Y/n, Cas! Mind if I join?" Dean yelled even though he was legit right next to me. I rubbed my ear, this obnoxious bastard is always yelling in my ear. Cas and I looked at each other. Cas looked like he didn't care if Dean came along or not.
"Why not? Someone has to help me with Cas." I shrugged. Dean stopped, staring at me a bit confused as Cas winked at him.
"Well, hurry up. Get in, Dean." Castiel said, mocking him.
We were halfway to the gas station, which was around 5 hours away. My foot was cramping a bit and I didn't want to keep my eyes on the road any longer. I was already slowing down to pull over. "Dean, can you drive? I'm exhausted."
"Really, y/n? It's only been like 3 hours." Dean sighed, leaning back in his seat. He didn't want to drive either.
"Yeah, whatever Dean. Shut up." I said as we came to a complete stop. I hopped out of the car and he reluctantly switched places with me.
